I heard about Tencent owning pretty large chunk of stake (40%) in Unreal Engine stock and EA actually doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Tencent creating mobile specific legends. EA also ordered Tencent to release Olympus by the time S2 was released, but keep getting delayed for some reason. Most likely due to the fact that they also had to develop new legends but at at the same time making sure they would look proper in both available perspectives in the game. I guess Tencent was going to pull the PUBGM move, having total control of the mobile version. Judging from EA deciding to just shut it down meaning they still yet to achieve that. We heard rumors about Apex Legends 2, if it’s true I’m guessing Respawn will use the newest Source Engine instead of UE but nobody knows.
