Network > IVs
I have a hundo mewtwo
Daxi, your hair needs a channel of its own 😬
I just like pikeman’s
*pokemans
but isn’t still good to get a hundo than a maxed out defense and health but 0 attack?
I think the point is more largely “hmmm I have to catch 130 of one Pokémon maybe I should just use the highest IV” So in short yes, it does matter lol
High defence and hp are no-brainers, but I still don’t understand why low attack is better especially for PVP. If it takes 10 fast moves for example to fire a certain charged move, but you can take the enemy Pokémon down in 9 instead of 10, isn’t that better?
Why are perfect battle leage Ivs different And why is it better to have 0 attack Ivs then just having a 4*
IVs are important in PvP. In GL and UL, where there is a CP cap, you want Pokémon with low attack and high def & HP IVs as attack IV counts as double CP. This allows your Pokémon to last longer.
In ML, you want as much IV as possible – especially Attack IV, for 3 reasons: 1) higher attack IV will allow your Pokémon to fire a charge move first during a tie in what’s know as CMP; 2) ML has no CP cap so you want your pokemon’s maximum CP to be as high as possible; 3) there is a breakpoint mechanism where certain attack vs certain defence will result in higher or lower damage done to HP, this mechanism is especially important when Pokémon are using/receiving high dps fast attacks.
So in short, if you play PvP at all, IVs are very important.
Ummm I have a 1 0 0 iv ditto
I never know what IV shadow (machop for instance) I should bother keeping as an attacker.
Why would you want 0 attack?
So ig having a low iv Garchomp for PvP isn’t as bad as I thought.
I got it from a trade and was easier to power up and I have borderline no candies for it and stardust is hard to find don’t judge me.
I feel like this video is made every year by the same YouTubers in pokemon go. The Answer is yes and depends on what you want to do.
If you are a go battle league player IV’s will determine what rank polemon you have and rank is decided by the variations of that same pokemon. So a rank 1 of that mon may survive more fast moves vs a rank 300 for example or an extra charge move from a specific pokemon battle and be better in the mirror match. So in Go league rank 1 tends to be ideal so you catch mons and look up the ivs to know what rank you have.
ALSO if you are a Master league Pogo battler, Rank 1 is 15 15 15 max or after the update way back XL Candy max pokemon. It comes down to how much States you can stuff into the mon before it goes beyond the CP limit for each league.
If you dont care about Go battle and only care for Raids, the most effective mons are the shadows, megas and high lvl counters to the raid mon and to do the most damage fastest the pokemon should be Maxed out. Simple
dude thanks bc i be guessing
The way pvp ivs work having a low attack and a higher defense/hp is based on how stat ivs affect your Pokémon. Pokémon with lower ivs have a lower max cp, meaning to get a Pokémon to its best cp for great leauge(1500) or ultra leauge(2500) the Pokémon will need to be leveled up more, and based on Pokémon Go’s attack hp and defense calculations, having a higher level Pokémon while maintaining a similar cp gives you more hp and defense while regaining that lost attack from the lower ivs. Basically giving your Pokémon more hp and defense in return for sometimes a very small attack difference.
Affects max cp aswell
Yes and no, you can max out anything that’s a good pokemon and it will still be good overall… but in general a 100% just helps you be better.
This has ruined my Pokémon go experience
i battles speeds better for a lot of charge attacks and for some u can even spam
