If you know someone that’s a spoofer and you trade with them can your account get banned ? Even though you don’t spoof ?

Spoofers are 100% villains when they do things like cheating and gym hogging.
Unless you’re disabled and spoofing is the only way you can play, you’re just a disgusting cheater and you should leave the game. now.
Also people, do not use the problem of raids to justify spoofing, there’s still people who play the game casually and cheaters can ruin the experience to those players, it’s not fair.

Spoofing ISNT the issue…….its those that have multiple accounts that trade down pokemon to get PERFECT IVS for PVP…….😢

In my experience, spoofers only led to multi accounting in my area. Yeah sounds counter intuitive but I really didn’t care about spoofers unless they attacked a gym. That at least was a fine line for me. I would never help out a spoofer in a raid because I had enough accounts to take out a raid boss on my own. As long as they went to some remote gym in Mount Everest or something or other I didn’t care. It was more of the principle of them interfering with the local scene and dynamics.

I don’t know about anybody else’s experience but for me, if you had a spare device that could run pogo?? Yeah add it, level it up, use it as another raid attacker to help with dps. It’s normal here.

All in all, your mileage may vary depending on situation in your area. Any area with a lack of activity, yeah you need the spoofers. But it’s such a grey area, it really does depend on person to person.

I stay spoofing with basically a burner account, don’t mess with gyms just use it for trades. Working nights makes it hard to play events.

Rural players basically need spoofers for hire to even get even a DEX ENTRY for some tier 5 raids much less multiple raids in order to power them up. That’s what some of the privileged city players don’t understand and absolutely what Niantic doesn’t understand. I could drive 20 minutes to a town that is actually a really nice place to play and be greeted with ZERO players, sure the gyms are being defended but nobody raids. I can almost guarantee some gyms near me have never had a 5 star raid completed at them. imagine if that were a visible metric, to see how many raids have been completed at a given gym. Niantic would never because it would expose exactly that.

IMO rural gyms and city gyms should be classified differently to where rural gym raid bosses are weaker or have a longer/no raid timer but the catch just being being the possibility of worse IVs & less premier balls due to how long it takes to defeat a raid boss. Make them soloable but more difficult to catch while city gyms that are more likely to be populated would have the normal 10/10/10 minimum for IVs when catching. The current changes are further alienating rural players making it impossible to play, I mean it was already near impossible for a rural player to compete in GBL for the most part (at least master league) but every change just makes it increasingly impossible for players that don’t live in the heart of NY or CA for example.

I don’t think people realise that cheating in this game, is one of the reasons why Niantic makes the decisions they make. Has anyone thought that the increase in price for the remote passes, was likely due to Niantic looking at their data on raiding, seeing a huge percentage of players doing “in person raids” (data that is heavily inflated by spoofers), and thought for themselves that remote raiding was not that popular?
Have people realised that spoofing killed once healthy PoGO communities outside of cities, due to players not helping locals anymore, and instead going to big cities to play?
Have people wondered how Niantic keeps ignoring rural players? Maybe because they assume, once again, from their data, that rural players can easily go to a city, so they think there’s no need to improve the game in rural areas?

They deleted my account from when I first started…… I did get a soft ban, but recently they perma banned me, which is insane . I’ve had lost a lot of money in that account, no to mention time

Man I don’t really care about spoofers, I honestly wish it was easier to set it up so I could do it. It does bug me when they go online to the facebook groups and start bragging about their catches, that they used a scanner to find out in the middle of nowhere. Like “yay, good for you”. Other than that it doesn’t bug me that they can play in a different way than I can.
I wish Niantic would make some things easier on regular players like not having regionals that are impossible to get without going overseas or not even being able to trade long distance with friends from those regions to get them. Or have big exclusive events in one location, like, I’m never going to spend the money to go to another country for a pokemon go event, but if you spoof your location you can totally participate. Spoofing is really the only good workaround for some of the dumb restrictions Niantic has put on its own game.

Love to watch a certain YouTuber spoof live. It’s awesome 😂 I like watching him catch shiny and regionals from his chair. I don’t care what players do now that Niantic is screwing us all. I have no idea how they don’t catch him lol. Also have a couple spoofer friends that help me raid when I need help.
