Spoofing was only annoying when they were controlling all of the gyms but now I don’t see them doing much harm anymore

I spoofed myself for quite some time until they started to get serious about it and now is basically impossible to do it. I honestly never saw how spoofing could hurt other players in some kinda a way. For me even when I was a legit player, I always relied on spoofers to send me invites and trade super rare Pokémons that only you could get if you travel to those areas. I’m back to be a legit player but if I could find a really reliable way to do it without getting caught or ban I would do it again without thinking twice.

Sadly they benefit the new updates since they can just spoof anywhere like shadow raids

I started to spoof during the Easter event. Mainly due to the remote raid nerf. If i lose my account after 7 years so be it, thats on me. I don’t pvp, I don’t battle gyms, and I just catch mons. My local community died out so i go where the raids are full.

Before I started to spoof I never cared how others played the game. Was it annoying when someone took a gym who wasn’t there, sure, but I would just move on to other gym near by. If someone wanted to break tos then who cares it doesn’t hurt you and it doesn’t break the game.

Ill be honest, I spoof. ive played for about 3 years. I wouldnt play PoGo if it wasnt for spoofing. I dont attack gyms, only raids and PVP. It can catch pokemon, spin gyms, and walk all night or day while youre asleep or at work. It has helped me with maxing level 50’s for master league. But i assure you, spoofers spend just as much if not WAY more money than OG players. and yes you can get banned ive got a 7 day in my 3 years. next will be a 30 day. then perm ban. its just luck of the draw. During Dialga and Mewtwo, Giratina raids I spent A LOT of money to get a hundo and max them out. any questions?

I love spoofing AND I love playing legit. Accounts for both. And I trade extra legendaries to my alt while I send shinies or trade for ivs to my main.
I love hopping to events or the hotspots of the world. Safari zones. Playing along with other spoofers raiding.
But I also play with locals on my main account thru discord.
It’s super petty to attack local gyms as a spoofer. You’re locked there for 2 hours. You have the world at your fingertips and you stay in a dead area.

I feel like spoofers are the anti-villains of PokemonGo. Yeah sure spoofing is bad, but with the current situation of with the game I don’t have blame people for wanting to go that route vs spending so much money or traveling far to raid.

To be honest if it’s not wasn’t for spoofers half the people wouldn’t have the Pokémon they have now,(if you live in a rural area and there only to people that play in your area spoofers can help to take down a legendary Pokémon

Deep down inside I was thinking of trying to find a group of Spoofers to help me defeat Shadow Mewtwo. I did try to give my coordinates one time I teleported my online friend to the wrong location. We were gonna Trade Shinies, and at this point tbh, yes Spoofers are kinda the heroes, I don’t want to play the game unlegit myself because I take pride in playing the game authentically and without soft or hard modifications, all my setup with Shiny Hunting is without custom firmware or soft or hard mods, legit Gamecubes one copy of Pokemon Colosseum and two borrowed copies, I got two DS Lites, one DSi, 2 fat DS’s, 4 OG 3DS’s, one new 3DS normal size (USA Model), two 2DS’s and one of them has a Katsukity Capture Card on the back (yes that is the only hard modded system), but I literally take pride in not tampering with my consoles or even games with external devices or even injecting cheat codes and stuff, I plan on doing Pomeg Berry Glitch for Pokemon Emerald to access Mew and Deoxys.

Same goes with Pokemon GO, I could also risk my 2018 account being taken down, and all my Shinies and even some of my normal Pokemon encounters tells a story, and I wouldn’t get those experiences if I spoofed. The spoofers are heroes though and until Niantic raises hell on them, all the power to the Spoofers these Shadow Mewtwo Raids could actually be winable if we don’t get enough help IRL.

I’m dipping my toes in the wrong water, I have no idea if I am going to beat Shadow Mewtwo but I am gonna try. I have one friend I can ask to spoof to me and know another online friend who knows someone else who could spoof to me

I like the white hat spoofers. They are the one’s that help people out. I haven’t been fortunate enough to have any. The black hat spoofers are the one’s I’ve encountered a lot. There’s a spoofer who takes all the gyms in my area, almost always within minutes of you placing a pokemon there. I’ve literally been in the middle of a park (no cars or people) and had him take the gym while there was Noone in the vicinity but me.

Forget ABOUT it!!! I tried 3 times on my first 3 tier shadow raid today on a Croconaw and failed. I’m level 50 and have several 100% or 98% legendaries maxed. I decided then these shadow raids are crap. I don’t have anybody to raid with nor really need another crappy shadow mon. It’s not worth the trouble when I can do balloons without any worries and for free!!! Really enjoying your vlogs!!!

as someone who has been spoofing since 2017 i can say that i never take over gyms while spoofing. i only take over gyms that are in my area. and i do believe most people appreciate it when someone with more capable pokemon comes to their small towns and help with raids. i even joined campfire and go drive around with people to help them do their raids. i know its not good i even have my kids spoofing and they also come with me for the raid rides. yesterday we were out in some town in mexico helping people farm taps. today we helped people get regig lol
