I’m pretty sure there’s a bunch of Youtubers who are gonna take a hit. Streamers on exclusive raids are screwed.

Only ones who will survive are modders. They can still travel anywhere they want.

I don’t want to hear Niantic whinny and complaining that they killed raid hour. For me (person who physically goes to raids and hosts remote players) I don’t see me staying out the whole hour for raid hour after this comes into affect. I may even stop doing legendary raids altogether

As a F2P player, I’m actually kinda happy about this change. The only time I ever use remote raid passes is when I save up about 1k coins and use them all on a good raid boss, like Rayquaza which is what I did when it was out a bit ago. Now we can get some for free via research boxes? Cool! I only usually do in person raids so yeah I’m generally happy about this change. No1 hate me lol

They can’t even get in-person raids working correctly (I’m looking at you elite raids 👀) extra XL candy is not an incentive to raid in person. I’ll just buy a swing from Amazon and get candy that way and save PokeCoins earned from gyms. Not spending money on this game anymore

Dueces niantic. Im not spending a year of my life to max out one legenday its just stupidity even though i already said i was done i still love the game and community and it bothers me. Like i wouldnt even care but that doesnt do anything to work twards being able to effciently level up a legenday. So is that how tjey plan to preserve the game. Make it so it takes 3 years of rotations to max out a legendary. 😂😂😂🤢🤮🤮🤮. Have fun with that id rather buy heirlooms in apex legends or even literally light money on fire at the casino then literally waste that much time trying to play a game

imagine spending money and getting 500 coins for 3 passes and not even guaranteed to catch the legendary when the raid is completed, it’s basically gambling for kids at this point

For someone who lives in Australia where there is barely anybody playing in my areas this “Incentivize playing Pokemon GO with friends and community” really ruins the game for me… thats why ive been doing raids

Great…. So we’re back to people standing around a gym, not talking, waiting for someone to join and so not joining themselves first. Then dropping out at the last minute, trying to go back in, finally talking to people to ask them to back out so they can go back in. Then everyone’s timer running out.

Anyway, this is the nail in the coffin for most who were just looking for a reason to quit the game. It will also destroy most international groups that were based on and/grew from remote raiding (sorry Mystic!) and rather than the game growing and increasing interaction, it will instead exclude people and cause the game to become smaller. When I started on a Discord group under one content creator basically the only thing we did was use the chat to show off shinies we caught. When remote raiding came out the participants increased exponentially and it turned into a community that has literally seen some members travel the world to meet the people involved. We have raid hour groups, contests, share the joy at seeing each other in lobbies in foreign countries, you name it. I think most people will quit.

On the plus side, when remote raids started I probably started spending ten times what I used to on poke coins (and I spend a LOT), and now I can save a lot of money I would otherwise (and thanks to this change I’ll probably come to see it as such) ‘waste’. Well done, Niantic!
