Honestly hats off to Niantic for making this hard decision. Although it’s gonna downright SUCK, remote raids came out cause of covid and probably weren’t meant to exist in the first place so I think we’re lucky we still have em at all

Not everyone lives in a downtown area where lots of in person raids happen. People live in suburbs and even more rural areas and remote raiding is the only way to play. Terrible decision and probably going to uninstall the game now because Niantic continues to make bad decisions

I don’t typically do more than 5 remote raids per day anyways but a 100% price hike is just BS.

Sadly for me, this update and news really hurts. It hurts because I don’t have friends, family, or even much of a local community that plays the game any more. My community had become much more of the Global Community and that’s what has kept me playing it more often. It’s really sad to see that they seem to be more blinded by their need to make Pokémon Go fit their box that they can’t see what an amazing global community these past few years have formed. So, this is in my honest opinion, a truly horrible decision on Niantic’s part and it’s one I hope they step back from taking.

In the winter, I can see one of my raid groups needing MORE than five remote when we have to stay indoors because of bad weather. I had been tempted to take a screenshot of that area and show why remote raid passes are necessary for one of the raid groups in my area. You do not want to be outside in negative 10 degree Fahrenheit. I think at least 10 would be good.
With campfire, there is a bug that is preventing me from trying it because I used Niantic Social through Wizards Unite. I would use campfire if I could use it.

This is got to be the most idiotic thing a company could do. This will hurt their player base and lose a lot of them because something like this will make parts of the game less appealing, for example like the ML

I just might uninstall the game now. Remote raids where all I could get. I live in the middle of nowhere. An my town has like 4 people who play the game and I’m one of those 4. Legit just ruined the game for me an my friends

Currently there is 10 people that only meet up with me on Mondays. Some Mondays are across three towns, so this really sucks because I live in a small community. Plus I’m not old enough to drive yet, so that means no legendary shines for me.

unfortunately, society still has no respect for deaf people. Remote raid is the majority reason that I am able to join via apps. Now with this limit, it is very difficult to find people in huge Los Angeles county. I don’t drive. I am deaf, so my frustration for raiding will be returning, yes I have been frustrated lots before COVID. I have not seen any of you youtubers have involved with deaf people, except I spoke with Nick in a couple videos in past.

I wish videos like these didn’t even say “and there’s this nice thing, I guess”–none of this is nice! Even though we’re saying “I guess,” we absolutely can’t sugarcoat this at all to niantic. They need to know that this is a horrible, horrible decision that only hurts everyone.
