Good its called pokemon go not pokemon sit at home, i started playing 2016-07-09 and i didnt see a legendary for more than my first year, now i can raid 500 lugias a day takes away alot of the fun of actually finding and catching a sought after mon.
Please fellow poké players riot with me
Niantic needs to add ways to get free coins. We can start with defending gyms; it should be progressive – every additional day your Pokémon is still in a gym then 50 coins should add up daily. So in a week you could get up to 350 coins.
If we dont successfully unite and get this changed before it ever happens then niantic will see just how long term the game is going to be… i know myself and many others are flat out done if they dont reverse this decision…. this is more than hearusniantic…. this is if u want to have any hopes of this game lasting even another year then they need to get rid of this idea
This killed the game for me. Raiding is the only content I play in the game, and I only raid with family that lives across the country. It has been a ton of fun to keep up with family thanks to pokemon go. Sad to see it go because of Niantic’s greed. I’ll definitely be uninstalling the app if the price increases.
They’re only going to hurt themselves. Do you know how much in revenue they’re going to lose by limiting remote raids
1. I almost exclusively do in person raids. I live in a town that has a lot of gyms and people who play this game. When I host raids, you wanna know how often someone else local joins? About 1%. Without remote raiders, I can’t raid. I invite 10 people to every raid, and I get about 2-3 people who join (on a good day)… prices going up will only make less people buy them and participate.
2. *if* this goes into affect is there a way to know if someone has capped out on remote raiding? If not, there is now a huge factor of wasting an invite on someone who can’t even raid, when each and every invite is already so needed.
3. How does it “ruin the game”. Their are people who spend ungodly amounts of money on the game, but have I EVER felt behind by not spending as much? Have I ever felt like I can’t keep up? Nope. Spending on raids only helps the spender collect. That is all. It doesn’t help them be better in battles, raids, nothing. That is one reason this game does so well, is that spenders and non spenders alike can keep the same pace.
4. Why is an online community such a bad thing for this game? Having friends from all over the world and seeing them join my raids is literally built into the fabric of this game. Why is that “worse” than people in a real world community? I have been heckled at in person elite raids, where we were forced to join my in person community. That sucks.
5. PokemonGo wants us to figure out how to get a “community” together to in person raid, but how? The campfire app is not useful.
6. This change creates a disparity between those privileged in where they live, and those who aren’t. This issue is currently non-existent. Currently, everyone can almost equally keep up with the pokemon brought out in raids, but eventually this change will make it so a lot of people are forced out of even registering or getting enough candies and XLs to keep up with people who live in active/crowded communities.
7. To participate in battles, there was a walking requirement that COVID took away. Why is Niantic so upset at people “lazily” collecting remote raids when now you can “lazily” battle.
8. Remote raids don’t stop grinders from getting out there and doing all of the events, which ALWAYS require walking/being outside in your community.
9. This has a huge chance at increasing the rates of people spoofing, which is an even worse thing than regular people remote raiding.
10. This puts people with disabilities, health issues. and mental health issues at a huge disadvantage.
The community is gonna have a lot to say about this
I live in a place with the nearest PokeStop being a couple miles away, so I’m kinda screwed with this update
Seems like they will screw themselves over this way.
They said in the article this decision was made to make the game more enjoyable, Get the fuck outtahere with that shit. Add better event and make rewards worthwhile would make the game more enjoyable
This will make my experience much worse. Living in a small town with not many other players around means raiding is hard. Only way I can even keep up with legends is remote raid passes.
unless they make the raid boss a gauranteed catch, im done with raids.
Damn and you can’t buy more than 3
nobody i my area raids anymore was hard to do a legendary before remote raid passes
Well if Niantic was trying to piss off its Pokémon Go community as a whole, they definitely did it.
They need to reduce the CP of raid bosses. I live in an area where not many people play PoGo, so Legendaries just wouldn’t be possible.
This change is absolute garbage worse than shadow regis and trubish
Lol Niantic has officially outdone EA games well played Pokémon go
Just want to put it out there – FCUK YOU NIANTIC
