Clearly Niantic wasn’t considering Australians. The price hike was completely unessesary. In a week long raid my gym coins will give my family just 1 attempt unless I spend money, shameful 😢

This is now one reason why I wished they had kept legendaries in the weekly research boxes and not the other pokemon. This nerf, as dumb as it is, I can slightly understand their reason behind it but still I feel like their words are reversed when they imply that remote raids would “ruin” their game. I get this game was initially a “go out and be productive” type of game but now a days things have changed and some of us don’t have the time, energy, or even the place to go and do the raids anymore. This nerf might be the starting decision for whether the game will continue to live or just plummet.

If they really want to limit remote raids, ok fine limit the daily amount. BUT WHY RAISE THE PRICES????

I guess they don’t want me raiding in winter. Remotes raids are the only way to raid when it’s -15 out there and 3 feet of snow where the gym is in the parks. First they start elite raids just before winter, now this. I agree it’s time to give Niantic less money.

At this point Niantic doesn’t surprise me anymore. I come to expect it. I don’t understand why Niantic wants to try and force people to play the game the way Niantic wants them to. I have been disappointed by Niantic so many times I barely play the game anymore. The very last person who I could do in person raids with recently moved away. Now I am even more limited to how many raids I can do. Just means I will be playing even less in the future.

I can understand that they want people to get out and meet, but I can’t understand that it should go beyond those who can’t get out, why not just reward those who get out more, instead of ruining it for those who can’t. I suffer from schizophrenia and find it very difficult to get out

I’ve said this in another thread.

It’s clear that they’re going above and beyond to incentivize in-person raiding. If it was just about the money they wouldn’t limit remote raids per day.
Imo the best way, if we could get get enough ppl to go with it, to get them to listen isn’t to stop remote raiding but to do as much remote raiding as possible and instead boycott in-person raiding.not sure it’ll get exactly what we want but it will at least make ‘em listen 🤷‍♂️
