This is a HUGE issue for many reasons, but in my opinion, the biggest reasons are that this completely screws over people with disabilities, physically AND mentally, such as myself dude….

People are already boycotting, and this is such a key part of the game. I don’t think Niantic realizes how much they truly just screwed themselves over financially, they will not only lose A LOT of money, but also just overall business.

We need all the PoGo creators to speak up and stand up for the whole community…

The more I think about this the more I’m in favour of the limit (idk about the price hike – we’ll see how often the free drops in research boxes come and how much you can do with that).

The fact is that remote raids and the ecosystem around it made the game more like a slot machine where you pump money into it until a shiny or a shundo or whatever popped out. I think the main people who will lose out are the people like the pokeraid app, who facilitate that slot machine like experience, and that’s a good thing.

Some people will leave, but if the main thing keeping you in the game was the part of it where you could sit on the couch dropping dollar after dollar into it for another pull of the lever… were you really playing pogo at that point?

It kinda sucks that this will limit the content creators such as mystic will be able to make, but I’m sure that mystic will be creative enough to adapt. It may be a bit harder and slower to do but I’m sure there’s plenty of pogo content out there, and it’ll be all the better when not based on an essentially gambling like playstyle

I’m relatively new to Pokemon Go. I saw this announcement and at first was a bit apprehensive, probably due to the amount of player anxieties about Niantic’s potential changes. Now that it has been implemented and I have read the announcement I’m a little confused what all the fuss is about. Sure, the passes will be more expensive, but not insurmountably so. Then again, they are balancing this increase out to a small degree by making remote raid passes potentially free as well! I’m a F2P player in a rural area. I have to head into town to get to stops, gyms, and raids. My daughter and I make these runs an outing together. I seriously doubt these changes will greatly affect our game play, outside of maybe getting a couple of free passes as we wander around the city. For us at least, these changes are nothing to cry about and maybe a bit intriguing. The few coins increase in price means a bit more saving. The limit of 3 passes and a handful of remote raids… well, we didn’t have any anyway. I’ve survived many rebalances in games before. Might be interesting to see how this one pans out. But after a year or so very few players will be crying about it any more.

They should allow more than 50 poke coin cap per day. Lets say like 150-200 to outweigh the cost, and to really get people outside. So its not just a money grab lol L niantic

The fact that they have completely ruined the game is ridiculous, and they say its to keep it enjoyable? What about those in rural areas, or are disabled and cant get out of the house? What about the people who work during the times when most people do raids? Niantic is taking away the potential for us to be able to do raids consistently. I play with my mother and brother, and we RARELY see anyone else in person raiding with us in our area due to how remote the area is. I can sort of understand the need to increase the amount to buy the passes, but to limit how many per day is something that will not make it “enjoyable,” but rather reduce the amount of people who play it. Bad move Niantic, bad move.
