the amazing thing is, is that this was done to make people play with their friends, family and community. the funny part comes in when you realise that nobody within 200 kilometres of you actually plays pokemon go, let alone video games.

I might be late to the game. I think Niantic added a feature where you can invite a new set of people to Raids if no one joins from your first set of invites within the first 60 seconds. Or less the amount of people that did join. I.e. 2 joined, you get 3 more invites at 60 seconds.

I’ve been thinking about the game changes a lot and this is where I’m at.

There’s been a lot of hyperbole and vitriol about how they are “ruining the game” by limiting remote raids. But to players that don’t have thousands of dollars to spend Pokémon Go turned into a Pay to Play raiding app. Their goal with the game was to get people outside and socializing with their local community. (I get it, not every player has that luxury) but sitting in your house just doing endless raids isn’t what the game was ever supposed to be. All these whales and influencers with their endless teams of maxed out legendaries technically ruin the game for people who have actually played the game and grinded up real world spawns to have teams with play in raids or pvp.

Who ruined the game? Niantic or the players?

Im not really into remote raiding, i do that like once a week max, but i think this is good because now its forcing more ppl to go outside to raid.

For solo players like me, and as an adult that don’t wanna friend up with kids to do local raids , this game is over. Especially that the number of gyms here is like 2 in a radius of 100 miles. It’s no singapore or tokyo here, where every single person is playing PoGo and raiding locally every single minute with a million gyms per meter.

If there gonna do this to us then they should at least increase the amount of pokecoins we get from gyms because it’s gonna take us about a day and and a little to get those 195 pokecoins for our raid passes

So insincere. If you really cared about getting the game back to your idea of how it should be played, you’d just limit the passes and/or remove them altogether. By charging more money for the passes, you’re trying to have you cake and eat it too. It just all comes across as so hypocritical. I am done spending money on this game. I may be done with it altogether if they continue down this path.

Said it once, and I’ll say it again, if they truly wanted to change the way players raided they’d implement the limit and that would be it.

Instead they’re being greedy and know this is gonna hurt them financially so they’re hiking the price at the same time. One or the other would have been manageable to a degree. Both at the same time shows they still only care about money when they make changes to the games dynamic and not the community

What do they mean with balance?? Let me tell you about “BALANCE”! There are barely gyms around here! And in Singapore there are millions of gyms per square meter. They can locally raid every single millisecond, and I have to drive an hour to get to one! With unlimited remote raids, this is balanced! But taking it away, it becomes extremely unbalanced!
