If it was for the health and balance of the game they wouldn’t of increased the price of the pass. They would of just limited it to 5 remote raids a day. They’re just greedy and don’t actually care about the community. Only targeting “whales” like most free to play apps. Among the constant QC issues that have been happening with events and the change to raids I’m not spending anymore money on pokecoins until things are reverted.
Hope this is just an April fools joke.
Now pokegenie is useless
I guess I can live with the free aspects of the game. But maybe I won’t, since I was reminded about the meta data thing. Time to start leaving my cellphone at home whenever I go out somewhere.
Never been more happier 😂 the game is meant to get you out and about, remote raiding killed the communities, yes it made new ones but destroyed old one, so best change 😀
Not happy. I’m probably going to stop playing. Or just play occasionally. I started playing after remote passes were started. I just found out today that they weren’t always a thing. So I’m highly disappointed and am just thinking about deleting the app. Sad because I’m so close to level 42. I just need a couple more eevee evolutions and I’m almost there.
Mystic…. whales like us NEED TO GO FREE TO PLAY to protest this. Only whales taking their money will affect this
It’s Horseshit! Honestly feel like dropping the game because of this
This is some fustrating news, recently after the pandemic I got back into Pokemon Go with my friends. I remember the moment they announced remote raid passes and how exited I had gotten, this was around the time Kyurem was making its debut. Remote raid passes was one of the reasons why I spent money on in game currency, it was fun as I had struggled before hand to beat or find a local community. But looking at the pattern that Niantic has been taking when it comes to decision making, it hasn’t been the best and it has proven to be fatal to their own brand. I don’t see myself playing or spending anymore on a game I love playing, this is and will be the downfall as I know many rely on remote raid passes.
i live in the middle of nowhere. i cant just go do raids whenever i want
I’m living in small town where is maybe 20 gyms and there is always 1t/3t raids so I’m quiting pg ;(
Boycott remote raid passes until they drop the price.
Bruh u r on the current largest cruise in the world.
Since nothing has been said about an April Fools event, what if this is the April Fools prank from Niantic?
I just delete my game lol fuck Pokémon go
Not spending another dollar with them. Will continue to play for free. But that’ll get boring so eventually I’ll just stop. And once I stop, there’s no point in starting back up again.
Since I play Pokémon go only at home, the only way I can do a raid is by remote raid passes. This is devastating for me.
For a game to evolve and maintain a loyal player base you sometimes develop features which take the game into different directions. Some can be planned and be well received, some like remote raiding have unexpected consequences. However once the genie is out of the bottle the developers of a game should embrace success. Especially when, like Niantic, there are repeated fails in game play. Hiding behind a corporate line about original values and objectives is to ignore that a game thrives on changes and innovation. Some changes are not planned and will thrill some members of the community whilst anger purists who.remember a gaming experience that new players would never have taken to or enjoyed. The game itself offers so many aspects and its strength is that players may enjoy battling but not engage in raids. I personally find battling hugely frustrating as Niantic have never resolved issues surrounding GBL. Campfire could be a huge plus, but once again Niantic cannot get its act together and roll out something that could really help a feel for global community. In person raids are so important to Niantic that they could not even conduct the last Regidrago elite raid without major problems. So Niantic are quick to quote their core values but incredibly slow to progress or resolve gaming issues that would enhance the community “feel”. I am sorry about the rant but in my very small way I will protest. Adventure sync off. No more purchasing of anything from the shop, much less time playing the game and sadly much less time with some of the global friends I may never meet but bonded with, thanks to some of the great raids we shared. The fantastic shinies, the lost legendaries. The highs and lows that raiding brought. If Niantic wanted people playing the game in person, that vision died with COVID. Some may never fell comfortable meeting up in groups. Many in rural areas or with mobility issues never had the chance anyway. So well done Niantic for not only strangling the golden goose but for handing a huge big duck egg to players like myself. I wish you well!
Guess I’m the minority when saying remote raid passes was the worst thing to happen to the game. Back before 2020, I’d organize alot of raid trains. A group of us would do about 5-10 raids a session. Met alot of friends this way and even met my wife. Once the pandemic hit, no one wanted to hang out obviously. And remote passes were a blessing initially. But now nobody wants to physically raid anymore. Most responses I’d get is, “sure, send me an invite”.
Now with XLs thrown into the mix, it made raiding more essential and the people who raided nonstop from their couch now has the advantage in Master League. For being legend every season, I cannot compete in that league for not raiding as much. Even with these new changes trying to go back to pre-remote days, I don’t think those days will come back, at least for a while. People have been spoiled for too long and have this skewed perception what the game is supposed to be. Niantic wanted a community driven game, which definitely worked for me in 2016-2019. But remote passes diminished that aspect significantly for too long.
