Not going to lie, as a father of 4 that works 60-65 hours a week, I’ve been leaning on remote raid passes to get most of my legendaries through the pandemic. Now that we have to pay so much to only raid 5 times a day, I’ve been seriously considering GPS spoofing to raid when I get home of the evenings.

I’m not spending a cent on the game until I get the time to figure out how to spoof my GPS and get away with it.

I completely agree. My best friend is a hardcore spoofer and has been since possible. Me, I feel it ruins my play through of the game. Sure I’m jealous of thing he acquires but I feel like it’s cheating although I accept trades from him

They screwed over a lot of rural players when they decided on no remote raids for shadows. Exactly what did they epect to happen.

I was on the fence a year ago. I seen the hood and bad. But it was what it was. But now, as a rural player, I totally get it. I missed out on the shiny shadow mewtwo because there was only 3 of us on a buggy weekend of raids that were almost nowhere in my area

Remote raids isn’t the issue. Ive been spoofing way before the nerf. Im not about to come home from work and go for a 1-2 hr walk. They expect people to spend hours playing and the only people who can do that is teenagers and people who are at home and probably not able to get a fraction of the Pokémon. Probably some people’s favorite Pokémon are unobtainable for the average person. Nobody can afford to fly to different countries just for a game that doesn’t even listen to its audience.

Since you is askin… My daughter and I are rural players. We go into town and play when possible. Like everyone we feel the affects of the nerfs to remote raid passes. We are adapting and adjusting to the changes and continuing to enjoy the game. All this being said…

My feeling about spoofing is simple; it is cheating. No amount of rationalizing about the nerf or excuses regarding “rural” will change my mind. You cheat, you fail.

i just came back to the game after 4-5 years and so much has changed! i only learned of what spoofing was in pogo recently but still have not really understand what it is, or how it’s done nor do i want to know.

I don’t think there is a problem, I haven’t played in at least a year but I use to do the same thing as I live in a very rural area. If the player is willing to grind which they still have to do then leave them alone a lot of people don’t have the money to constantly put into a mobile game they wanna play too the haters can bark and go cry abt it in the corner 🤷‍♂️

Spoofing is cool and Niantic deserves it 100%. Period. If you disagree then you are simply in denial. It’s be different if global fading was a thing and the remote raiding aspect was massively nerfed

I really don’t care how people play. If they spoof so be it. What cracks me up. When people say Spoofing bad. Then hope a few spoofers come to a raid and help them out. They were always there. They haven’t changed how they play.

I have to be honest, me and my friends have been spoofing for over a year, our country is very inactive and its impossible to farm in here, we would never play this game without spoofing for many reasons, also this game turn into massive p2w, i think that even spoofing you cant be as good as a spender $…
