Not surprised, Niantic brought it on themselves… well they brought it on the player base cause were the ones getting screwed. i personally don’t care if you spoof, as long as what you do does not affect my game play. but that pvp thing is a very good point.

Niantic prioritizes having a stable daily income to please their shareholders and get into the top Fortune 500… simply by having players completing their 5 daily $ remote raids… they are completely out of touch with their regular player base… very sad. Spoofers have always existed and even though I don t do it, I always benefit from it to trade rare shiny with them… which less stressful than wasting time playing for nothing and wasting time.. when you are too busy working and trying to make living. Please respect everyone sir Jinsula. Thanks

I stopped caring about cheaters and spoofers. Hopefully it’ll make niantic realize how stupid they are and they can actually improve the game

I don’t spoof.. but with region locked Pokemon (Sigilith, Parachisu) leaving my Dex not finished makes me kinda want to learn how..
I do have a couple players on my friends list that I feel spoof due to the gifts I get from them being from so far apart each day.. I’m not upset, just more curious where I’m getting a gift from them each day.
In the end it’s a game and everyone will play as they will. Some will “cheat” while others are more strictly within the rules.. just my two cents..

If we are going to talk about spoofing, then you NEED to address the amount of players that are running their 18 PoGo accounts, that is so blatantly obvious, yet nothing is ever done about these players. Running more than 1 account goes against ToS, so if we are going to penalize spoofing, then lump multi-account users in there as well. Nothing more annoying than putting Pokemon in the gym, only for the DEGENS to knock you out and put their 4-6 Pokemon in at one time. Regardless of how many times you knock them out, they will knock out your 1 measly Pokemon and then repeatedly put their 4-6 Pokemon in the gym.

my only problem with spoofers is some has taken over my town and kicks me out of gyms within 5 minutes. so I never get coins they have been helpful with raids though.

Sadly, spoofing evens out access to in person raids. I know a lot of people who spoof, but I have almost stoped playing the game. The nerfs has ruined the game, because of lack of acces to raids. It not fun having to drive all day just to find a few shadow mewtwo raids, were people in the city’s get lots of the. The raid situation sucks and has killed the game for me.

I had a friend who was a spoofer, and when I asked him why he spoofed he said there was no incentive to play & being able to be a rebel was much more fun. 👍

I mean the low level Shadow Raids did not need to be in person, maybe the Legendary ones but no large group of people are going to turn up and do a one or three star raid, it’s just so forced to ‘Get out and Go’ and lots of people have been affected by this so spoofing was inevitable!

When I first started playing pogo I ran into a spoofer and he showed all of his Pokémon, I knew right away that this method of playing was going to ultimately kill this game

Thanks fkr covering this. I know in the past that the OG YouTubers used to talk about spoofing, but it got so old because Niantic would never deal with it effectively.

I still see the same exact spoofer clan in my group after 6yrs and it’s just insane.
