rare candy xl, poffins, and higher batches of regular rare candy are the incentives to do in person raids, which most definitely keep me doing them over remotes. me as a hardcore raider im not hurt by remotes being nerfed, however i am still hurt though cuz that means less people to help on the bigger ones when needed. can’t 4 man a mega latios, need some people to join in. and if i can’t get remote help i can’t raid. so i’m most definitely hoping this gets reverted, i don’t want to be out of friends to help me take down the big big raids

Lol whoever quit because of remote raids shouldn’t even play the game there b÷=×made asf all of them and losers .there about to ruin a good game like actually murdered with. 🔪 1$ per pass is already a darn lot they should be 50 cents it’s a darn virtual pokemon lmao

A lot of people simply just do not want to talk to others and meet up and a lot more do not have time and means to spend chasing raids around the city. Not to mention that everywhere is not Las Vegas or Singapore and actually have a practically non-existent PoGo community. Where I live, when I stroll around the city and find raids in progress, 99% of the time I do not see a single person in the lobby for the whole duration of the raid. Therefore without remote raiding I wouldn’t be able to obtain ANY Tier 5/Mega raid pokemon at all. I do not care at all about Niantic’s opinions on how the game should be played, each an everyone of us should be able to freely choose how he likes to play a game. Cause games are supposed to be fun above all, and if Niantic enforces a certain playbook it takes all the fun away for alot of ppl. I’ve been playing casually since day 1 but if this goes through I might as well stop playing altogether or drastically reduce my play time.

Just bring bac EX raids,but make it like an a event. Have the 5 star and higher take over the gyms for like an hour. That way ppl will be there.

I live in a rural area and have 2 friends that play. It would be impossible for us to raid a boss like mega latios or latias and especially the primals. This is a huge blow to us rural players

I live in Greenland, total population is around 59.000. Every town in Greenland is spread near thr coastline and there is no road between towns. We are depending on people to join us with remote passes, because active trainers in my town are under 10 people. So Niantic is hurting Greenlandic trainers, due to population and “closed” infrastructure.

What about people who live in remote areas with next to no local friends in the game ? l will be paying more to get a chance of getting a Rayquaza ? l can just afford to play the game as it is right now and will quite if it gets anymore expensive.

I think there going to go through with both changes see some backlash then take one back most likely the limit you can do but keep price increase.

Similar to getting people “back in the office,” good luck getting people to go back to in person raids.

I’m a day one player, and actually, in person raiding in 2017 was what ultimately led me to quit the game completely. I didn’t wanna talk to strangers. I didn’t wanna bond with people I may never see again. I came back Jan 2020, and I gave in person raid a try. I did that for a few months until what ultimately happened in March 2020: total global shutdown.

I’m sorry, but I didn’t like in person raiding, even when I gave it an honest try. I didn’t like forming these superficial friendships with people who said ” hello ” for the raid, tapped their phones in silence, and then said bye and went on their way. Just cause in person raiding was a thing, that doesn’t mean that any kind of meaningful interactions took place for everyone.

If I had to choose wasting my time and my gas money for one raid, where in that same time frame, I could have done 6 remote ones, and have more time for relationships that actually matter to me, I’d choose the latter everytime.

So I’ve no doubt in my mind that if this change goes into effect , I’m dipping out of paying for this game, and many others will join in.

Thats great when you live in an area with population density. I live in a town of 100 people, 2 stops and 1 gym. I have ground my way to level 48, but dont think I could ever get to L50 with this change.
