I’m on the fence too. I like the fact that you speak about each side and allow us to make our own opinion.
If there is a problem of people spoofing/changing to premium passes. Fix that first.

Implement incentives rather than going to the stick for locals.
Increase damage closer you are to raid (20%+), Decrease damage farther from raid (-20%)
Remote raid passes should be double price of premium raid passes. Don’t put a limit.

This is a really bad idea , as someone from India where literally no one plays this game , very few gyms and stops , 0 people is raids , remote raid passes were the only way to get legendary Pokemons or any Pokemon through raids , if the remote raids are limited or gone , the little community we have here will also leave the game , as someone who really enjoys the game , it would be the worst for me and people like me which will force us to just leave this game which I really enjoyed

The work doesn’t let me go out and do raids specially in my town that isn’t a lot of players and the most of the other players also have to work, i love the community aspect of the game but we don’t stop working or living as we used to for a game.

remote raiding ruined raids in my local community. before remote raids we used to have a very active community and 5* raids always got good groups. ever since remote raiding was added I cannont get local groups, no one bothers to post about raids they are going to do as they can just remote invite their friends from around the world. I used to raid locally ALL THE TIME, Now I have to hope for random invites from random friends around the world because my local community is divided up into little cliques.

Niantic has yet to learn you cannot tell us how to play the game. No dev can, people will sooner quit than just “change” what they enjoy doing. They think with this one change every player in the world will all of sudden become YouTubers without jobs and just play the game outside all day? No, they will shrink the player base instantly which is just sad to think about.

People had time to raid during the pandemic because there were a lot of people without jobs at the time. Now people have to work

I get it, and i know this was a hard video to make. I hope Niantic can find a happy medium that we are happy with and can enjoy the game. I do in person raids all the time but i have to coordinate with people locally or family to be successful because no one is ever in the lobby. But at the same time i really love remote raiding. A. When i am local, i can host raid when no one is in the lobby. B. I can actually live, work, take care of my kids. Remote raids im still raiding with friends but im also still able to make dinner for my fam, change diapers etc. when i can go out i do i love to go out and take over gyms, catch Pokémon etc. but raiding is just not always convenient locally. But its like i do emphasize with the player base who maybe doesn’t play the way i play, who doesn’t care about getting shundos or maybe they have way more free time then I do, but should i have to give up the playing style and what’s makes it enjoyable for me or are you, Niantic, and others who agree that these changes are what’s best saying that I should just find something else to play after I’ve invested thousands into Pokémon Go. I’m trying to be open minded and i hate that me liking remote raiding seems to overall make the game less enjoyable for players who want to meet and interact in person

I would be OK with a limit if they made some improvements.
Like why is it even possible to get 2* from a raid?
Or can we get another way to obtain 4* legendaries, rare candy, and rare XL?
