I don’t like pvp, I’m not interested in other peoples garbage gear, plus more than likely a hacker. I love building gear and guns, fighting scavs, and starting to take on bosses. But players can bite me.

No other playstyle beats the adrenaline rush of stalking your prey, trying to surprise buttsex them, if you are good, you don’t even need the best armor or ammo, you can cheap out and if you die, you don’t lose that much

You know as a player who always played it slow and I dedicated now this wipe to rating. I have my best wipe so far. I usualy read a book or something on the net while doing it.

If you want a true rat experience, do this early wipe -not late-. Then the popular routes and locations will always pop.

I agree with your point that ratting can be very boring. But on the other hand, when you eventually try the aggresive playstyle and end up getting stomped 9 out of 10 times by some walking chad-tank or someone who is genuinely better than you or even a stupid aim-bot AI scav, you end up getting frustrated and feel like shit at this game. And that’s where the rat mentality kicks in. Sometimes it’s the only option for us casuals.
