legit when i pick up a skin i have like a 50% headshot rate but without i completely whiff
Definitely feel my prime phantom is better than my oni one when it comes to spray
Like in lol if your champion skin has glasses you take 1-2 dmg less
The placebo effect is wild. But some skins have more visible bullet tracers so there is a slight advantage there
Hearing hardstyle while playing R6 would make your play worse, right? No, not at all.
Time to buy skins
I dont remember the exact game, I think it was an old medal of honor type game, but in that game the Nazis MP40 and the Allies Tommy guns had exactly the same stats, so both teams were balanced. But the devs realized that the tommy guns performance was way higher than the mp40 in playtests, even though they were completely the same. Through some testing they later found out that the Tommy Guns meatier shooting sounds made their players feel more confident with their shooting and take riskier shots, which they most of the time got.
If u give me empress or vulcan ak, i’d be performing too
This is just the power of believing. What the heck, who invited the ork bois from Warhammer? 😂
Don’t know about valorant specifically. But being a skin andy owning a bunch over a variety of games (league drained me good) they do give a mental buff, skin can be straight troll/fun because you have a good mental state this will enhance your performance. Audio feedback is also massive example Pulsefire ezreal feels soo different too all other skins I perform worse, however with others the feedback makes you feel stronger, more confident which can be good. Other skins are rare and often owned by high mastery players which intimidates players. Cardboard Assassin in SMNC comes to mind or in LoL my Pax Sivir which is one of if not my best champ
We all know that mental is important for performance one word: Tilted
Now let’s take a step back here, calling someone with a doctorate a “scientist” isn’t really correct. I do agree skins do let you play better, but most of the time it’s a placeboo effect.
Rocket League placebo is a good example. Some designs are super heavy and sluggish feeling, others are super light and responsive
I mean as said in cs
Skins=skills
Isn’t that called the placebo effect
Nah im trash with or without
Shooting a gun with a satisfying sound and kill banner in Valorant just feels so damn good
No, just no. People trying to justify spending $300 on a virtual item is funny tho
equip liked skin = good vibes = good feel = good flow = good aim*
*good macro sold separately
Or or… Just tell yourself you play so much better with default skins and stop enabling this type of dog shit.
Just a highnoon skin series situation all over again.
