my guess is that Gekko is a radiant and K-Sec experimented on him and his powers (him being able to summon the lil gang) and Reyna found them is protecting them. she seems to have known them for a long since she tells them to “calm down my children, it’s me”. also, the tattoo on his left arm lights up whenever he summons the critters.

A few things from Geeko that I don’t think were mentioned (sorry my English isn’t exactly fluent, and the video don’t have subtitles)

1st Reyna calls Geeko’s pokemons “Mi hijos”, which would be my children… there is also the proximity of they two, where he always calls Reyna “My Reyna”, maybe I misunderstood, I don’t know, I thought an interesting detail.

2nd I don’t know how it turned out in English, but in Portuguese, when Gekko kills someone, he can say “Foi de arrasta pra cima”, which means “Swipe Up” from Instagram, which here in Brazil has become a way of saying that the person died. I found it interesting because it matches well with this city boy vibe, connoisseur of memes that Gekko passes on.

i will just say this since this was pointed out in a different video i saw. reyna doesnt like humans, and there was even a war that happened in an alternate timeline where it was the humans versus the radiants. reyna would not want to mentor someone who is human, especially because of the incident that happened between kj and reyna where reyna’s sister was murdered as a result of kj’s tech. reyna would not want to take a human under her wing like that and be a mentor to someone that is not considered a radiant like her. and also, gekko’s arms light up in the way a gecko does when camouflaging (hence the name gekko) and i dont believe that someone who is considered a human would have that kind of ability. all in all, i genuinely think that gekko is radiant, but feel free to disagree or argue.

I believe that Gekko is human, and his fanny pack gives him the ability to take out his crew, as it does contain them as proven when Thrash knocks herself into the Kingdom poster

Im pretty sure gekko is a radiant cause his tatoos glow when activating his abilities similar to reyna. But seems like his friends/creatures come out of that ball bag thingy he carries around. But even skye who is also a radiant uses wooden trinkets to summon her animals so maybe theres a summoner type of radiants like gekko/skye/fade that can summon creatures to help them in battle

Hi Jeppy, thanks for a great video! It was very interesting to find out more details about him. But, I’d like to say, that i think Gekko is supposed to be a radiant.
Lemme explain – You see, for the majority of radiants in the game. They have a certain patterns and marks on their hands that indicate their abilities. For example – Jett have some dashes of wind swirls on her hands while using ult and updrafts, Phoenix’s full body gets covered in fire while in ult, and Astra have a whole-ass purple arm inside her gauntlet. And respectively, Gekko’s tattoos lights up in a very bright and saturated bluish colors when equipping Thrash, Wingman and his other buds. I suspect that his little buddies can’t live separately without Gekko, and need to rely on him. Also, i really don’t think Reyna would have such a close friendship with average human, cuz she just hates them lol.
While about this whole entire mission thing – I think Gekko broke in a kingdom security department with other agents not because he wanted to steal his buddies, but rather he used them in a mission due to the fact that Valorant protocol have some sort of a beef with Kingdom (you can make such a conclusion from a voice mail, from Skye to Brim).

I am pretty sure gekko is a radiant.
Many already mentioned that Reyna woudn😂show interest if he wasn’t.
Also he has a voiceline where he says something about talking it out from radiant to radiant

at 9:00 when gekko says “mi Reyna (reina)” its a play on words cuz in spanish Reina means queen but he is also referring to Reyna’s name at the same time since he always calls her queen, like a double entendre. Also at 9:02 he doesnt say “It was unstoppable!” he says “Jefa’s unstoppable!” (Jefa being the feminine term for Boss in spanish)
