The utility rule is just asinine. “Play ranked games but do not use your abilities”. Yeah I am sure that’s a good advice to give to low elo players. I love seeing people pick kayo or omen and not use smokes or flashes.

hi mr bananaman, for those who are already in the midst of following your old routine do you suggest we stick with the old one till the one month period is over or do we ditch the old one and proceed to practice these new drills and mechanics youve given?

i was hard stuck silver until i found woogoojin and i actually peaked plat2 this act
I wasn’t able to reach gold in a month with the Reyna training, but it was because I was often tilting and taking bad gunfights. Since switching back to Omen, I realized that I was more confident in taking 50/50s overall and I am fragging out more consistently. It turns out playing with Reyna forced me to play much more aggressively and more confidently (even when the play itself wasn’t smart). I’m slowly making my way up again. Thanks for the new guide!
I don’t get the difference between overaim and deadzone, can someone explain?

Easy peezy. I just need to quit my job so I can be home every day. /s. But really, the deadzoning and movement is the key to val.
I’m about 30 RR from Plat 1 right now and can pretty consistently hit at least 25 on medium bots after a couple warm up drills. It’s one of my own personal indicators for being sufficiently warmed up enough for ranked. I don’t queue up unless I can hit 25. But I just wanted to get some clarification on the difference between the overaim and deadzone drill. Firstly, it appears that the difference between the two is that the deadzone drill incorporates a counterstrafe and the other does not. Is this correct? Or am I missing another difference? Secondly, is there an advantage to practicing both rather than only practicing the deadzone drill? I know you’ve proven that counterstrafing is unnecessary in previous videos, but I still counterstrafe with no conscious effort. It’s become ingrained into my mechanics and although it offers little to no mechanical advantage in non-deadzone shooting, it has become a habit that gives me a confidence and a mental advantage (if that makes sense). So my final question is, should I make an effort to not counterstrafe if I’m not deadzoning?

realtalk tho, following the old vid I’d already been extending the time spent on drills a bit & wasn’t sure if my aim/gunfight hygiene was sinking in as well as it should’ve. there’s outside factors here so I’m not blaming hooj, but I do think following this hot *new* guide will help me a lot
edit* also appreciate the… aggressive-ish? tone of the old vid being softened a bit. I already put too much pressure on myself lol
