I love breeze
I’m not a map designer either but I like your suggestions. I think moving the boxes is the best since you give defenders a flanking round while also kind of removing some cover for attackers who could sometimes hide behind it in a postplant.
Just move mid doors from mid to a main
I actually love breeze, i just love taking long range fights. (Chamber main)
if someone dont know how to play a map its easy to hate and difficult to learn soo most people take the easy option for me breeze is one of a kind and its easy to attack
The maps they have released have been pretty awful. Although with Pearl they were 1 mid corridor away from a perfect map! Pearl is awesome and gives me hope for the future
To be honest I really like that A site doesn’t have a long choke point. Almost every single site in the game has a large one and it feels so good to actually have a map that’s different and more focussed on the post plants (fast takes combined with long rotates). It feels fresh imo
Solution: Delete the Map
I feel like Breeze B window jump should be a skill jump like Mirage Mid Window jump, so that not everyone can utilize it every round easily and it becomes a bit challenging
Worst thing about breeze is just the same agents being played. It is an overhated map overall, though.
fracture worst map
One idea I noticed is that on attack for the A site chambers trip can completely cover flank vrs the B site where there is always a route to get around his trip.
I don’t hate breeze, but being a Raze main I’m so sad every time I get it in ranked. I still think that the map to be rotated out should be either Bind or Haven since they’ve been there the longest. Split was the most fun to play and watch while I don’t particulalry hate bind don’t think it offers anything good to the map pool.
Hope map design becomes a bigger talking point because I feel like for whatever reason Riot hates the idea of cover. Time and time again a map comes out with giant site lines and no way to break them up. Like mid on breeze those three blocks in front of Nest raise the height and change the orientation and suddenly mid would be a lot more fun.
A site is just a shooting range unless you smoke around all the pyramids, and you can’t push up after
wacky idea: with breeze being such a large map, i think this would be a great opportunity for the teleporter gimmick from bind. Obviously this would be a full redesign, but thoughts?
Breeze is cool it’s different
I’m not 100% sold on your Cave to A point (though I don’t hate it either since a defenders buff should happen if attackers are getting two buffs on that site), but your mid to A, Tube to A, Elbow to B and B Window points all sound great.
Some of these places just require too much team work to even think about using in the average normal game and too much investment to try and use in pro play.
As far as suggestions go, I would maybe try and make the first part of the building in defenders spawn a bit easier to defend from players going from Tube to B. If we want to push Tube as a viable strat, taking that much space will lead to it not just being used for A if it is too easy to just go B instead.
I hate fracture more
In essence, attackers need smaller, riskier angles to prevent complete lockdowns but the defenders need to feel comfortable controlling the main site entrances to prevent complete rushes.
As it stands, the benefits of one side’s advantages outweigh the drawbacks of trying to utilize a different part of the map. Thus, if you’re attacking and can’t get past the chokes, you’re doomed (B). If you’re defending and you can’t defend the chokes, you’re doomed (A).
