Seeing the thumbnail: Oh, they already knew about that sage one way?
Seeing the wall in action: oh godness gracious
1:10 on the note of dirt cheap utility, Skye has 3 flashes AND a dog AND armor. That’s so far from impossible in today’s eco.
Was the diffuse slower back then? Is the diffuse faster rn?
One of the big reason why the awpers (from both team) are going short instead of long is because of the astra star setup at the start of the round, and astra ALWAYS suck the A-long star. As an awper you also don’t wanna be playing the same spot every round so instead you see them switching from long to short to B or sometimes even aggressive peaking out of garage. It’s not really THAT different from how it is played in the current meta too.
12:12 whats tenz doin there?
with this video, I’d love to see an even more throwback analysis on how sen used to play with sinatraa or how tsm dominated the earliest days of valorant
Honestly, feels like sentinels haven’t evolved at all since this game. Like sure they have changed zombs for kenpeki and dont use phoenix anymore but their util usage and team play seems the same.
I can say that the teams on the 1st lan events are improving as the meta is changing ,the only team that is not improving is SENTINELS idk but i feel like they still playing like its 2021.idk man this is my opinion, its like they been left behind.
Fun idea
Can’t believe they actually got thriftied last round
Maybe if not that flash…
SEN kinda played the same way for a long time(not agents), now they just get punished for it. I think they’re trying to change whatever it is they are doing wrong but they need to find footing
About 5 mins into this I had major flashbacks to the last round of this game and 5 mins late it got referenced lol
Your Videos are so so fucking good. I feel like i learn so much about Valorant just listening to you nerd out about Tactic shooter tactics and applying it to pro valorant matches. Its a joy to watch
I don’t even really think Sentinels have gotten much worse, I just think they have stagnated while all the other teams have gotten significantly better. They just haven’t been able to keep up with the meta and a more tactically sound game than it used to be.
I remember an interview with Dapr where he said it was shockingly easy for them to win it, and I think that speaks to just how bad the teams around them were at the time, rather than how good Sen were.
Sick+Phoenix+Haven was something else that time..
0 strat 0 util just aim diff
Great video! My question for you is: what are Sentinels doing differently/better in the past than compared to the present? Is it that Sen is worse now or maybe that every team has improved with time? I imagine it’s a bit of both but I’m curious about your thoughts
This video is super neat, wild going back to such an old game and comparing it to what it’s like now, didn’t realize how much exactly changed. Would love to see you go all the way back to 100T vs TSM in first strike too lol
Whenever we spectate derke or tenz push I get the thought of “we need to activate the dash”
