Just make cypher able to retract his cage. Imagine giving your best and super setup, and then enemy goes to other site that’s mean you have no utility left to play retake. And if you lose, you lose tons of creds just for utility that goes litteraly no impact to the round

with the way the new maps are designed I just want a third trippy and it can stick to walls that are further apart or make it “2 sets of charges”. meaning like you need to manually place and connect 2 trippies to form a wire instead of placing one and it auto connects to the opposite side of the wall

imo what makes cypher kinda hard is his util really makes you in ride or die situation because the best of them (cages) can’t be recalled, and now you’re stuck to play csgo while rotating with your limbo wires

Great video! Still the worst agent in the game! Who would have this title otherwise? Nobody said he was useless, but who tf want to learn cages and trips line ups when you can play chamber or kj and have as much impact for half the work. Unless you’re a professional trying to make a comp work there’s no point in playing cypher.

The meta shakeups in Game Changers and the other midcard tournaments have been incredible. Really hoping some of the top teams pick them up, or some GC teams demonstrate their viability at the top tier competitions.

valorant subreddit is full of gold-plat kids with 0 sense of humour. The Clips they post are also mid at their best. Valorant has literally the worst sub in terms of gaming fandoms imo

Cypher is like Neon and Yoru in that it takes a great Cypher player for him to shine. Though in Cypher case, I’d argue that his skill ceiling is a bit lower than Neon and Yoru.

The reason probably why players see Cypher as useless is because;

– his ult is very situational in it’s usefulness and it’s value wears off fast.
– not many actually mains him, probably because it’s harder to get value off him.
– he is not an aggressive agent that usually gets kills, so his impact in rounds is not as visible. Kinda the opposite of Chamber, wherein Chamber gets overrated a bit too much because players see him get so much kills.(refer to his headhunter and how people overrates it)

In my opinion Cypher really just needs a few buffs on his abilities and maybe a rework on his ult, to be back on the top. People seems to forget those times when Cypher was actually highly rated.

Im be very honest, these clips don’t say much. SRs utility usage to even mitigate cypher util is horrific. With both B hits, the kayo util was utilized so badly meL didn’t even feel like she had to sit backsite to keep her util up. With the A hit, they literally threw the kayo knife so that it only scanned gen, like what. if they throw it at site boxes it can suppress gen, and most of heaven and hell.

This is like when people say “omg chamber awp or jett awp OP” but then never smoke off or flash awp angles. If you don’t do anything to hinder its effects you can’t say its OP or complain about it. As a result, they literally gave meL the chance to play the game. We have literally seen situations in VCT where the best players in the world were quite literally removed from the equation with just util alone. As a matter of fact, we judge players as being the best in the world by their ability to get a kill even if they take 5 players full util.

Obviously I’m only looking at the clips being shown to me but this doesn’t display cypher being good as much as it shows that meL is a good player. meL was given basically every opportunity in these clips to make plays that didn’t even necessarily require her util.

also just to mention, they literally gave harbor wall a slow when enemies go through it, something they literally removed from cypher cage.

so the whole point of the video is that an agent isn’t necessarily bad as long you put in the effort and time to learn its skills and mechanics to achieve the maximum of what it can offer, here’s my issue though; a lot of agents may provide the same if not more usefulness for the team for a fraction of the effort.

anybody who played any other competitive game knows or experienced a godly person with an underpowered character/weapon just because they mastered it, but for every one player there’s 20 more who are as good with different and much easier characters/ weapons.

and looking for an example at the top level isn’t gonna cut it sense their top tier communications and training isn’t as much available for even the higher ranks in game.

saying a character is not bad if you put a huge amount of time and effort seems like a silly excuse while other characters with lower skill floor exists.

i know that some characters are more compatible with each other but it’s essential for support characters to have utilities that are more streamlined for other teammates to play with
