ITS A PARTNERSHIP YOU TWATS NOT A FRANCHISE SLOT
There’s going to be promotion – relegation

If only FPX made it
i think we are yet to find out
What the fuck is franchising, you have teams they compete and climb up, in the end the best of the best fight out for the grand prize, isn’t it how sports supposed to be? I don’t watch football and shit, just makes sense to me idk
I just don’t understand why it has to be all or none. Open the circuit to some dark horses
Liz is a wrestling fan 👀 i knew i saw a wardlow tee before
and no german team made
How’s a new org supposed to make it in Valorant now that franchising is started? It’ll always be an uphill battle for a non franchised org..
So, franchising provides stability to ONLY select few orgs. The other orgs are left to fend for themselves. I don’t see how that’s healthy for any eSport
Take example of India, only Global eSports was given a franchise. There are many better up and coming orgs in that region. But now you are just killing the Valorant scene in the region since you only “make it” if you are one of the 5 players that plays for Global Esports. All the other orgs are just stepping stones and players will jump the ship as soon as they get an offer from GE. Basically making it GE monopoly over the whole region… That’s not healthy for Valorant as an eSports at all..
This reminds me of the conversation when LoL first went franchise. Long story short, it’s for the longevity of the eSport as a whole. Franchising gives a piece to the teams, but at the same makes the orgs more invested in the league. This isn’t even surprising, besides they took this long. Basically, it’s Riot saying VCT is popular enough
50/50 on franchising. On one hand I love the underground stories of faceless orgs rising the ranks. But I also understand how volatile esports is, so franchising helps bring stability to a scene.
Nobody enjoys franchised sports? Bro literally EVERY SINGLE TRADITIONAL SPORT IS FRANCHISED.
Franchising sucks… best example is the LEC … teams like Rogue or Vitality would be out of europes highest league since years …
but no we keep the trash in it so the orgs dont have to worry that others crush them and they lose the spot in the LEC
My take in this is based on CS and the whole history of the competitive scene, and i think franchising is bad for the game itself, theres a thing in the CS scene that is the rise of teams each year, some hit big, most dont, but at least you have new talent and teams showing up to the world keeping the scene fresh and interisting, because it tends just to get better players, but franchising your whole scene(especcialy this early, i think it need to be more stabilish) takes away that, the chance of a hidden talent in a country without much support of Esports in a RIOT oficial event is minimal, and even if he gets noticed by his rank or streams, it would be up to him work his ass off just to maybe enter a develompent team, and by NA Riot history, they dont that very well (to be fair the LOL BR scene was handled way better) but to put an example of many teams on the table, look who it was in 2016, Luminosity was a team that never performed on international level at CSGO climbed through the ranks to reach the finals, and won, if you had a franchise at that time, maybe the world woundt know about Fallen or Cold, and the Esports brazillian scene woundt be that strong, you can connect that to Loud if you want to, because if they didint had this chance just to compete, probably the economy support in Brazil would not be the same
*21:29** Let’s just take a minute to appreciate how much time and work she put into these videos?*
*It’s unbelievable, and I think they deserve a lot more than that*
