As great as this looks, the reality of JP servers is that nobody talks half the time and lack common in game knowledge or basic team chemistry. If you want to have a chill time playing Valorant, JP servers are great because it’s quiet half the time but if you want to actually grind your way up the ranks it will be a tilting experience. Besides, 99% of the population cannot even speak proper English so communication is a huge issue for non Japanese speakers. This comment just turned into a huge rant but if you can’t speak Japanese and idolize Japan as this holy sacred country which I see a lot nowadays, it has its flaws and can be certainly frustrating due to its collectivistic culture in comparison to western countries who are way more outgoing and friendly in my opinion. This is coming from a guy who plays and lives in Japan and has climbed to immortal 2 btw.

This is so true and wholesome. I would love to just stay and play in JP sever because they are so nice to play with, but the language barrier and my ping makes it hard :((( Can endure the ping, but I really wish I could speak fluent Japanese, not the broken ones I just self studied due to lack of opportunity to learn it properly in an academy.

Japanese people are the most wholesome and the most tryhard players ever. I played an unrated game once around 1 am for me and 3 am for them and they still hit heads like crazy. I was the only Silver there and they were from gold-immos on both teams. Idk how my crazy silver ass manage to get like 12 kills with 100 ping but nonetheless, everyone was really wholesome even the enemy team

there are some goods and bads of JP server based on my experience:
goods:Japanese likes to play supportive agents like sage,KJ,sova,smokers,instalock duelists are not common. Japanese is kind and gentle,and won’t blame you even u play bad. and their English accent is cute.
bads:their aim,teamwork are lower compared with same rank in other server. they like to fight alone instead of playing with teammate.if u are losing like 4:10,u are not gonna get any comms or info until the game is over.

This is why I always play in tokyo server even though there’s so many good players smurfing in that server, they’re nice and don’t flame too much, but honestly if they would trash talk to you, it’s not that annoying bcs of the language barrier lol

Yeah I play on Tokyo server the people are very nice like its a dream.. the only downside is mostly they don’t talk on their mics usually just typing but when they do talk it’s 100% like this

I live in Tokyo and play Tokyo servers whenever I blurt a word of English they tell me to go back to my country(国に帰れ) or they say this is Japan speak Japanese (ここは日本サーバーだから日本語話せ) and some 13 year kid saying the n word in a heavy Japanese accent.
