Defenders should not be alble to buy Vandal. Period
From what is looks like, the agent meta changes the gun preferences
i think both rifle are balance enough
When I have more than 1 enemy on my screen I will prefer 100/100 times phantom. I feel more confident for both spray transfer or burst fire to multiple enemies. I play vandal only for Heaven C site Pearl B site and complete breeze map. phantom is definitely forgiving weapon. with vandal its like either you get headshot kill or you die.. with phantom we can spray smokes and farm damage to many enemy team. of course there are nuances, high elo players dont hide in smokes.. but yeah if we dont mind HS% phantom is still good gun. And how can I forget about the run and gun that phantom has to offer.
*I think the phantom should only have 2 drop off ranges (0-15m 156 Headshot, 15-100m 140 Headshot)*
Phantom is and always was the better gun, this kind of discussion is so ridiculous to watch. Nothing has changed and nothing will change until there’s a vandal buff, this has gone on for too long
Hey everyone, quick question. Does the Champions Vandal show up in the store? I’ve been waiting for it for a while and I only just remembered a faint memory of reading that the Champions bundles won’t return to stores but I dont know for sure since I have seen the Champions karambit in my store twice
If you’re not immo or radiant, this almost doesnt matter because enemies aim isn’t perfect, with that said take into consideration the map AND first bullet accuracy, on breeze for example even if the vandal would one tap I still play phantom because the first bullet accuracy at longer ranges is important. Really guys play whatever you want both are good for different players
My take on balancing the 2 is to not touch them(if so very minor). The pick rate is mainly on the current perception and feeling of the gun. Once the vandal becomes picked like 80-90% of the time, it’ll soon fall back as people realize again how easy the phantom feels; and cycle goes on. The phantom used to dominate pro play but then pros started to realize that they could hit more head shots(and shoot with more confidence). This is slowly happening to the phantom as seen when regular vandal pros switch back and realize how much easier it is to hit those mid to close range fights.
Just use what you have good aim with today. Sometimes vandal shines, sometimes phantom
People: According to data the vandal is better than…
Me: Shhhhh, I will use what I want, when I want.
tbh, besides few map and dm, i still dont like using the vandal, the 1 shot headshot is always real nice, but really miner things like 1st and all shots spread, faster reset, bigger magazine and silencer gives a big edge for versatile situation. when i pick the vandal im always good for one no dought, but being slightly disadvantage at a fair fight feels less punishing than being at a disadvantage in a trading or multikill senario, or on a wiff situation (aim reset) is till prefer the phantom.
They should somehow balance the phantom in a way they can almost or maybe equally out peform the vandal
It’s like the 100th video on this topic jeez valorant content guides are very bare bones
Your balance chages of beta patch 0.5 are inaccurate, go over them.
I mean pros don’t want anyone to survive and just go on to be problem later on vandal bring a 1 tap headshot and it’s better for those long range battles i personally use both of them both have there pros and cons but phantom needs a headshot range buff cause it’ll make phantom more viable
Shroud be like: for real?
reason i dont play phantom.
I have shitty spray control and people dont die as quickly as i would like with it.
I personally don’t think it’s a problem with phantom more than it is the fundamental mechanics that each gun brings and their importance in the game
You don’t always need to hide your tracer or that extra firing speed, but in comparison to vandal, which has ZERO dropoff along with part of the good qualities phantom has, it can ALWAYS be used, trading speed and range for sheer power. It will always be the better pick so long as vandal has a more broad and flexible purpose. Personally i’d reduce body damage for vandal at longer distances and increase general phantom damage body+MAYBE the head. I saw alot of people say increase dropoff distance which works really well too, but i wanted to bring my own idea to the table.
The only 2 agents i use phantom on is viper and omen because I flank and take alot of close fights, but when I use the vandal, I legit become screaM, not even kidding I have enough confidence to just fire 1 bulley and i know I got the kill the phantom however is a different story, I’d rather have a kill than carry 145 damage regret stats and presch team gameplay, f that, imma assassinate the enemy team lol
