im like, genuinely concerned for the valorant community lol. thank you for this video, it’s important that people see this. riot really has to start cracking down cause the toxicity and misogyny allowed in this game is actually disgusting. also to any men that are silent or complacent when seeing shit like this, YOU are part of the problem. the fact that we have the option not to engage is a privilege, so use your voice when you see stuff you don’t agree with. let’s not normalize human garbage, thank you.

So. After almost 5 months on the game (iron 2 btw) I encountered this kind of human. The bro called me « mommy » and I muted him after one round. I discovered this feeling of peace when you mute them and it is clearly incredible. Meanwhile my friends were laughing at me ToT.

This is why i recently quit valorant. So many ppl telling me to k!ll myself because im apparently “boosted to plat” and “i suck because im a woman” on my off games. I even had some previous friends tell me those hurtful things when we queued comp together. I didnt have the resolve to continue playing, but I respect you for taking those situations so well! Stay positive and we love you!! <3

naw the way i didnt even think half of these were that bad cuz i get this stuff & worse regularly, like i was like isnt this regular valorant…….?? which it is regular val, but i wish i hadnt gotten so used to it omg, i feel like my standards for human beings has just gone down exponentially since starting val.

also i’d like to thank you so much for being woman content creator spreading this stuff bc it genuinely is so annoying to play val as a woman rn idk, some mfs on virginia servers legit made me cry like 2 days ago(which was wild cuz i normally dont get affected by the sexist sht) that was prob my worst experience on val atm & I WAS THE TOP-FRAG, istg riot needs to do more somehow cuz these fking men are too much

I hate this community so much tbh, there are so many toxic people that I get excited whenever I meet someone with basic manners etc.
I am 15 now but can say I had lots of similar situations when I was younger and had a higher pitched voice. Being in the minority is always tough, especially in an environment like Valorant ranked.
I generally prefer to play with younger people, like my duo who is 12, (or older people e.g. people in their 20s who have been outside before) because everyone around my age seems to be the most toxic, so I still relate with this video quite a lot, having numerous games thrown by teammates (and obviously loads of toxicity) simply because they can’t cope with having a child on their team.

It’s honestly super demoralising seeing, mostly adults, screaming slurs at a 12 year old in voice chat for using their mic in a “team-based” video game; I just can’t imagine that if it were to happen irl.

Enough of my rant now, I’m just glad there is a mute button and functional report system 😀
