These arguments are all very dubious and remind me of all the people saying jett was totally underpowered and useless back when this game launched.
9% of kills isnt that bad at all. That’s higher than the spectre, sheriff, etc. on other agents.
And it’s useful even if you hit the awp shot. No other agent can follow up an awp shot like that.
Also “the best aimer in the world bought a ghost once in vct” is not an argument that its not good on pistol. It depends entirely on what you’re doing with it.
The reason why Chamber probably didn’t hike the win rate of eco rounds is that the rest of his kit is not well-suited for them. Ideally an eco round win comes from getting an early pick, picking up the gun that person dropped, and snowballing a win from there, and while Chamber is great at getting an opening pick, he typically does it from far away and escapes, which sort of negates the snowball potential.
I think this perception comes mostly from the way the ability is designed, and how it feels very frustrating to die to. Also, the opportunity cost of Chamber only having effectively 2 abilities in ~75% of rounds is something the vast majority of people don’t think about. Honestly it feels like the ability in general should be reworked in some way, because of both this and the fact that it pegs Chamber into being “The OPer” almost as much as his TP does. No idea what would replace it, but it feels like the most problematic ability right now and Riot should at least consider looking at it.
Why the the headhunter regarded as a broken ability?
1. People are still thinking of the 6 bullet pocket guardian in pistol rounds, some people still forget about the cost increase.
2. The clip ability of the headhunter makes it look absolutely nutty, basically every kill with it is clip-able
The only ability I want nerfed is rendezvous. Allow more counterplay to a literal get out of jail free card. I’ve only faced chamber 3 times and they all sucked, (I’m a new player, so were they).

the change from 100-150 cred cost on the headhunter is actually pretty big when a 100 cred difference can prevent you from buying a full gun/load out. Now it’s way less viable for save rounds as you can only buy 60% of the bullets than you could before. buying 6 bullets and a trip used to be a very viable buy but now that you can only buy 4 means you really can’t miss a shot.
When agent bans are a thing and people ask why I don’t vote to ban chamber, ill show this video.
would love to see a non-mirror winrate stat for chamber on ecos and pistols vs the general eco/pistol winrate
Headhunter is aesthetically fun, that’s what it is.
It dependa on map…like on breez or pearl i will buy 4 bullets cz i still have classic for close range but for close range maps i go for ghost.
U can buy ghost etc but it dosnt match with the tp ability which is shoot once and out even if its not a kill u get info or dmg but with ghost this style is not possible.

( I am only talking about ranked) I think it is overpowered although the players are not taking advantage of it, The real benefit from headhunter is the team econ you can get with it easily saving 2-3k a round after round 3. Taking the long fights that favor the guardian and using his tp to take advantage of eco weapons, picking up rifles from enemies and teammates, Dropping the gun you got for free to your teammates so you can do it again. It works selfishly for op spam or great teamwork buying people basically every round. You can play alone while your team has the gun advantage without risking giving them anything. personally think a good chamber should only have a rifle if he picked it up or his teams econ is already insane.
chamber’s pick rate is high caz of ez to learn and ult is op . Nerf should be like give his tour de force a cooldown like all sentenils has it. may be 25-40 sec reset and give his other trap back make him more like sentinel also the slow .
Headhunter is the best ability in the game because it feels absolutely fantastic to get 1 taps with

So an ability that ruins the fun of the game, yet has no real impact. Yeah, remove it then, wtf?
That 30% stat should keep going down until Valo becomes more consistent
