As a chamber player there’s an insignificant tech with HH in rifle rounds which is basically “abusing” the switch speed to counter the vandal/phantom recoil and spread by hitting a dink or a body shot. #buffHeadhunter
Biggus Dikkus!? You silly wapscallion!
That japanese caster sounds like Dio Brando
nah you really put the Japanese casters vid in this 😭 I’m happy you took my suggestion
i feel like you’re neglecting the less visible impact of the headhunter, like more frequently crippling your opponents economy when you’re in an eco and making winning those ecos much more viable like bringing it to a 2v2, or being able to get another kill before you’re traded or TP which can nearly secure you a round (op kill + HH kill then tp) which are things that cannot be shown as much by stats but have a big impact on the game
I disagree. His headhunter is essentially a get out of jail free card, which you have previously said is bad (Jett/Chamber) since there are minimal counter play options. Let’s say you’re a chamber in a 1v1 clutch on a gun round against a non-chamber. If you run out of bullets or whiff, you can instantly equip the headhunter and try again. Like you said, you’re probably not going to be using the headhunter on gun rounds (which is most of the game). But when you have to, it’s always there and it’s hard for other players to match that fire power. It can get you out of situations everyone else would have been punished for.
The only reason it’s perceived as OP is because of Yay
Your points are directed at people “like us” but all of your analysis is only relevant on the pro level. Yeah yay doesnt trust his aim against literal pros. Mate I’m in plat and people fucking suck. I just OP as much as possible so the HH is the perfect eco tool. That elo can’t fathom flashing me off an angle so it enables me to have an OP for almost twice the amount of rounds I would because I waste 2900. But why would I waste creds if I could flank and get a kill and recycle their weapon
well said
7:08 The stats here are not too meaningful in my eyes. If you were to research the percentage of a pro player got kills with guns, the sidearms would definitely be less than the rifles. Of course that is the case, as the game was designed with rifles being the most used in competitive games. Measuring how many kills Chamber gets with his headhunter is almost akin to asking the percentage of kills any other agents get with their util. I even checked this myself, some players have more kills with the classic than the sheriff, but I would not use that stat to say the classic is more powerful than the sheriff (in a general scenario). The meaningful analysis is to see the non-mirror win rate of chamber’s headhunter during the first two rounds of a half and (as a separate analysis) capturing how many kill percentage belong to the headhunter in the pistol, force-buy, and eco rounds (where a Chamber is present). This way, we can capture how much the headhunter performs compared to the classic, vandal, etc. This would be another way of measuring the actual impact of the headhunter where it would matter. Even if the headhunter is less used or impactful in the normal rifle rounds, I would argue that an ability with high impact in the first two rounds of a half and an eco round might be a bit too high-tuned if the agent that the ability belongs to has an overall strong kit.
the point at 6:20 i don’t believe is plausible anymore as pros were still figuring out how to better win those buy rounds/anti ecos, so there isn’t really much data especially considering that champions 2021 was a whole year ago which is half of VALORANT’s lifespan
I think we need to consider the context of where people say it’s overrated. Are they talking about “pro play”, “rated”? All I know is that it’s overpowered on shotgun rounds on “spike rush”. 🙃
Wait. What’s wrong with Skye’s heal???
1200 for a 8 Bullet sheriff. Yea no. The one I like about chamber is that his abilities only cost 200 creds, I don’t consider the q part of his kit because it’s that bad
