Regarding Omen and how he’s being punished by the removal of Split, I’d kind of agree but based on my playing experience on Pearl with Omen, there are just as many if not more one ways that can completely shutdown parts of the map (i’ve counted atleast 25+ different ones that are viable depending on the situation) similarly to Split, which only had maybe 10 or so. I feel like he’ll be good on Pearl but Viper and Astra also seem really good there too so its a wait and see kind of thing.
Every list with Viper in S is a very good list 😬😍
I think Cyphers Bind is incredibly underrated. NO ONE talks about it, even people who mention he’s underrated. Occasionally in my Plat-Diamond comp games I use him and he just absolutely shreds
I think a good fade nerf might be to decrease the prowlers HP they will semi consistently blind enemies because they have so much HP
Breach imo is a bit underrated and I’d say he’s B tier: he’s a super underrated pick on ascent especially on defense, solely because he has excellent map control from mid with proper coordination from teammates. His tremor has excellent range and can stall pushes very well and same with his flashes
i think cypher deserve a low c tier but overall pretty decent tierlist :))
2:06 lmao the roast
they did touch the chamber tp tho?
Agree on phoenix, althought only for pro play. In competitive valorant (Ascendant- Immortal) he is a beast
can u rank pro players?
neon’s stuns are gonna go to the sh¡tter after this buff
They could make chamber’s anchor work with line-of-sight only to truly nerf him…probably?? It’ll help reduce shotgun Chambers and make it more risky to make aggressive plays like a Jett could make.
I think Omen is A Tier and Viper is also A. Omen had the best win rate of all the controllers in Copenhagen and his kit is very flexible. The fact that if you re-smoke with Astra, you can’t play post-plant with the suck and stun. Brim on the other is good hand is good for post-plant and on his maps but the major draw back with Brim is that his Smoke range is poor compared with other 2. With Omen his kit is Flexible, His Smokes do have good range, and you have the ability to re-smoke in late round and can still play post plant with his Paranoia. And then with Viper is Viper lol but I would Lower her because even though she is unique, she lacks the maps that she is good on unlike KAY/O or Fade for example. The only maps you can really Solo with Viper is Breeze and Icebox. With Dome Controllers, you can solo on Ascent, Haven, Split, Fracture, and Bind to a certain extent.
Cypher together with Phoenix and Reyna just makes me sad knowing where he used to be. Before the Dark Times before the Chamber
chamber first tp gives you alot of confidence and attack will be hard with new changes but there will be little to no changes in his sentinel role
The problem is that fade is way better than sova, especially after nerfs
Cypher is still good on fracture and breeze as youve noted in the past
Personally, I do consider Omen to be at least equal to Astra. Omen has better smokes, yes, but Astra has a way stronger Ultimate. However, a big problem of Astra is that she has to manage her own “Economy” during the round, aka manage how the stars are used. This definitely impacts how she is played a lot, and leaves nearly no room for error. If I can phrase it like this, every single piece of Utility used by Astra initiates a teammates mini-execute. Whether its directly supported by Astra’s Utility (A smoke for cover, a stun for a free kill) or indirectly (Some big brain play, cough cough sucking the KJ turret holding B-Main from A-Main on Ascent), this only allows Astra to help a limited amount per round and in a different way than Omen.
Astra definitely has some very interesting tricks up her sleeve, especially with the recall smoke, but every single piece is situational and has to be well planned. Her Recall smoke may allow a player to access a piece of the map easily and sneakily, but that trick has limited use, because at such a high level, people will begin to adapt. Outside of this, her smoke is quite normal and fulfills its role, but sharing one economy with both the Suck and Stun makes its use very limited.
If anything, I consider Astra to actually be equal to Omen because she helps in a different way. I do not consider Astra to be fitting as a primary smoker. I dont think teams will play her for her smokes, I think Teams will play her for her Stun and Suck, and her wall. Which is why teams prefer Omen, probably, because Omen can also play as a primary smoker and his Flash has I’d say a similar effect on the enemy.
I personally think Astra will shine along the side of a primary smoker, potentially Brim or Viper, and show her power there, allowing the team to take a lot of advantageous gunfights all over the round, strategically searching for a hole in the defenders hold or creating one, and utilizing the second controller to capitalize on that.
In my Opinion, Omen however is suited for a more aggressive playstyle, especially with his flash and Teleport, allowing him to create and take space. Whereas Astra can create space, she will not take it as easily. Omen also is slightly more slippery and harder to catch if he utilizes his TP correctly. Omen also has more defensive potential with his huge arsenal of one ways, which he can just put up and either get free kills or secure a potentially huge part of the map by himself, for free, without even using an OP.
Offensively, though, I think his playstyle is more close to “breaching” the opponents defense open with his flash and TP, forcing the enemy to give up a part of the map, utilizing bodies. While this is easier to play (I cant describe it, but practically, the Hookah Blind on Bind, or a TP on Site into a smoke), it has a lot more risk than Astra’s play, of stunning a corner and just waiting for the enemy to be stunned, then getting a free kill.
Also, on the side, Do you think Omen will be less popular once Chamber is out of the meta?
No duelists in S tier, but instalock reyna and jett(D and C tier) every game…..
An idea for a good chamber nerf: His TPs ability to get that first pick is like jett and is a bit too op. I believe only giving him one anchor where when he stands within the anchors radius will allow him to TP back to the center of the radius where the anchor is. This makes it harder for chamber to get away as if the other team decides to rush chamber will still be very close to where he was and can still be punished. Although this may seem too much of a nerf, it makes chamber have to be more of a team player as he can combat this nerf by having a teammate help to stall the push with their utility to allow chamber to get to a safer spot. I also think that his trademark should have a larger radius making him more like a sentinel player so that he can hold flanks better for maps like breeze.
