I play almost exclusively unrated and have encountered three cheaters in my three months of playing. If it’s that bad in unrated, I don’t even wanna know how bad it is in ranked.

As someone’s who’s cheated throughout many games (never valorant), 6 years on CSGO boosting accounts / players and flipping them. Yes cheat providers can sometimes dip after an in flux of players on the cheat. But if you go through the main platforms of cheating which have honestly not changed since 2013 you will never get scammed, and the likelihood of a ban is definitely not one days playtime. Try a year down the line.

As a silver player, I don’t think cheaters are a problem in my Elo, but I think that smurfs are a bit of an issue. It’s easy to see people doing very well, and say they’re cheating, but they’re probably just counter strafing very well and having good crosshair placement plus being more experienced. It’s not a huge problem but every once in a while there’s just a complete destruction and it sucks to lose RR for it.
I do wonder about throwing though somewhat, as I have higher rank players on my team sometimes and they’re usually quite bad, but that could just be their MMR catching up.
