If tenz is a top 3 duelist I will be SHOCKED. he’s always been one of the best aimers and most fun duelists to watch but his space creation and tradability has always struggled and has lead to him getting some insane clips but inconsistent results.

Idk the name of the mustache guy, but i think is rigth, Loud is coming with a new young roster, so this tournament will be more of a adaptation fase, I think Furia will surprise everyone on this tournament though

Ppl bring on Achilios soemtimes to ‘dump info’ on APAC but that really isn’t his job / what he solely or mainyl does given he’s an LCK caster, so he isn’t nevessarily aware of a lot.

Regarding BeomJun, he was a ranked demon coming in on top of KR, APAC and sometimes NA ranked, he was chosen for the roster because he outperformed pro players in tryouts . There isn’t a lack of pro players, this is an unfortuante reversal or misunderstanding, the point is how many great players there are that even someone like this shwos up. Compare Surf being recruited by XERXIA straight off of ranked, with no matches or pro play experience at all (a lot of people missed that, maybe they wouldn’t believe it bc of his play style)

The whole point is rather then there really being a ‘lack of players’ imo (this is to me more like assuming there are none as a default, that isn’t really what the evidence shows- like wenty for example for mechanics) and in this case as a development player he appeared to be an exciting prospect.

Apparently, according to coach bail on stream, Lakia would have made it in on the main roster but was not signed because of a wrist injury in combination with the soft lock deadline. eKo was chosen based on doing well in scrims out of the other players (however in addition there is the bonus of experience and playing with TS a lot before, and Meteor a bit, and under coach bail), and bail in particular has high hopes for iNTRO coming into the next year apparently

DRX hasn’t been doing this ‘a lot’, at most once with mikA- other cases which he might be thinking of really don’t fit the model

I feel like a big bias of PlatChat is prejudice against players that you don’t recognsie and don’t know about, you assume they’re not good, haven’t played, aren’t well known etc when the whole point is he is known to be one of the top korean jett players who was consistently played in VCT, korea and japan, and he obviously would play in Ascension because of that.

It is just rude imo to make assumptions about players not being important because you don’t know them, that sort of thing bc u don’t know abt something it must not be important. It is just unnecessary, it’s better to admit that you don’t know than try to usurp on that

He was ‘tested out’ by DRX recently in the Daejeon Invitational vs FAV and Team Secret
