To explain why it works in Valorant: there’s no parallel movement. So like in CoD or Overwatch, when someone wide swings, you can strafe to match their movement and not have to aim so much. Controlling recoil on top of trying to match it with the left or right movement the enemy is doing in Valo makes it really hard.

What I can see about this is not that the tech is overpowered. In other games, like COD, BF, Apex or PUBG, you can’t long swing because the weapons have determined bullet spread, which gives control to the player. In games like Valorant and CSGO, the weapons have indetermined bullet spread, more so in Valorant. No matter how much you try to control it, the spread will be always random after the 8-9 shot in full auto around a zone, and this kind of tech just abuses that mechanic.

So, what the players have learned around this is that the first shots are crucial, which in term meant “I will drop them before they drop me”.

you mentioned people panicking and flicking to the farther target, but isn’t that what you should be doing? if you’re going for a spray transfer the inaccuracy would make hitting the second target harder, versus starting with the farther target and then having a closer target to finish with the more extreme recoil.
