No, this doesn’t really help. You are still crossing your fingers and praying, hoping that the teammates that you sacrificed your main agent for plays good enough. It’s still RNG and luck-based. Picking different agent than one consistent agent, in ranked, is totally a bad move. Using this method or whatever, you’ll be sacrificing more games than you know. Then you’ll probably say to yourself, “Oh at least I’m improving myself” well… really you’re not. Then comes the toxicity factor, which means that either you or your teammate will be toxic to you because you/they are playing bad. Losing too many games affects your mindset. I found myself to win more match after I already win a match, rather than winning more matches after I lose a match. I really wouldn’t recommend trying this method if you are trying to rank up fast, you might even end up losing a lot of ranks because of trying this new “experiment”.

I don’t know. If they instalock Reyna it’s almost already the same. Like for example if 2 of the teammates instalock it’s already impossible to make everyone happy even if I fill.

it is well known that you should try to main about 3 agents, but i also think its important for them to be different roles, so then no matter what you probably can fill a missing part in the comp. for instance I main chamber because he is the most fun agent for me, yet I also have been trying to get into fade as she appears like a good pick right now and our team can have a more versatile comp. Its been working well and it allows my team to pick what they want and everyone is happpy. Sena knows what he’s talking about so trust him, it works.

I always try to team play on certain maps but i instalock on most maps and most of the time we win because i either carry or the other team is chill and very supportive the only reason we will ever lose is if i go smokes or i play phoenix and breach lol

This would help me get outta imm1 if there wouldnt be 2 instalocks instalocking eachother out and insulting everyone after that.
Just play with a friend thats better than u, instalock chamber and an other agent ur comfortable with and grind.
Theres nothing more to do and filling is just gonna make u play an agent that ur not fully comfortable with and u get less kills, probably loose the entire game bc one braindead jett and reyna instalock and dont enter site and it just results in a loose streak (trust me on that one I speak out of experience) or if u r really lucky and u win u get less rr bc of Average dmg per round and stuff.
Sadly riot doesnt care if u r like duelist, u enter site and then traidet out, they WILL give u less rr when u r filling and if u r lucky and u get a good team then u will win anyways.

tl;dr U can carry with a duelists but not with a sentinel or smoker bc u arent fully comfortable with smokes yet and u will get less rr when u r filling

I’ve always been doing this just because I have never felt like I had a main agent but I currently have a 53% win rate and I am comfortable on most agents. I started on iron 3 and I easily climbed 3-4 every act, currently Dia 1.

Why not main 1 agent in every role so u can fill. I do that i main phoenix in duelist kayO in initiator omen in controller sage in sentinel i think its good u can be flexible no?

Lol this is hilarious cause I think this is why I have such a good winrate and im only an average usually soloQ only player. If I was good at aiming I’d climb faster for sure but since im not this is my exact method till that hopefully happens. Its kinda good to see someone point this out for a video.

I don’t know, this will 100% lead to inconsistent playstyle and much faster drain your attention reserves. Like, what if you just played smokes for last 2 games where you spent half of the games sitting in omen’s astral and clicking on where your smokes should go, and now you’re filling initiator like fade for which you should execute reveal lineups or skye, where you should care about how you throw your flashes. Also, what if someone else instalocked an agent other player wanted and they’re not happy? Not to say that sometimes 1 duelist is just not enough, it was back in silver months ago when I last time saw a raze instalock actually use satchels and entry, now(ascendant 2) all razes I see are doing nothing.

I have a strong feeling that 95% of players above diamond is jett/chamber/reyna mains which forced to either fill, dodge or pick phoenix and throw – someone won’t be happy regardless
