It’s not franchising but it is literally doing the exact same thing as franchising in terms of going down to limited amount of teams. Franchising is bad for esports imo.
OMG the amber bunny
*laughing in CSGO*
once again another Riot L. Riot is truly a dogshit company lmfao. CSGO>
These ppl are going off the route IMO…even fortnite had a better competitive side to it than valorant (going into the future)…epic games gave each region a certain number of spots that teams could fill depending upon the number of players playing the game in that region…so if you belonged to ‘EU’ your region would get more spots than ‘NA’ cus there were more players in your region and in order to fill up those spots epic games hosted a tournament style qualification system where they would host like a tournament for every spot…so lets say ‘NA’ had 8 spots then there would be 8 different tourneys for every spot and there would be multiple matches in every tourney….before anyone says anything i know fortnite is a battle royale and valorant is a fps…but the fact remains that what epic games did during the start of Fortnite’s competitive scene actually worked well…their tourney style and their dedication to listening to the community…valorant has more potential in the comp scene than fortnite ever did…lets be honest…if valorants comp scene dies out idk if the game would even stay relevant for more than a couple of years…the one thing fortnite did was make the game enjoyable at least in its early stages and even at the end of 2021 when i last played that game…after that i started playing valorant and tbh it does not bring in the same amount of ‘joy’ or ‘fun’ i had when i played fortnite….it does not even come close to it…the game was made to be for players who want to take it seriously and hence why ppl see more toxicity in this game than others…there is nothing wrong with valorant being what it is but if the comp scene dies out then the game just wont be able to grow or stay relevant imo
Liz spitting at the end. We deserve a whole video for the case of collective bargaining for the players and eSports unionization!
This decision from Riot is really bad.
This is an extremely complicated issue so I understand why Riot has been failing pretty hard recently. Idk this partner system solves my issue with watch the pro scene. Everytime I try to watch Valorant I am so shocked because I don’t recognize any teams, or players at all and I think “Why am I watching this” I don’t get as hyped because I have no idea the stakes or rivalries of the teams because I have never heard of them. I’m not saying we need only a certain number of teams, but the pro scene needs some sort of consistency and on paper this change seems to address that.
when you got a brand, and you select other organisation who can participate in that brand, selected on their grow potential. Isnt that pure franchising. McDonalds doenst own any McDonalds, they own the building (game) and the product (game) but other organisations are participating in it (teams).
I really dont see how franchising is the wrong definition here?
I swear I watch all the vids for Liz shes the best
Or people are starting to realize that the grass isn’t always greener. Valorant isn’t really popular besides casual streamers and washed up Csgo pros. The game is stale, it’s Csgo for children with abilities to cop out of pure skill fights. The maps aren’t that fun or deep compared to counter strike, valorant really needs a lot if it wants to be the “Csgo killer” it was hyped up to be. Csgo still has more game modes too.
Can’t wait to see riot ruin and fail this game
Honestly I think a Valorant league/ franchising would be cool. But they need to help the t2 and t3 community. If they take the top 8 na. What happens to teams like GUARD???
I guess CS is about to get a few more players lol
LMAO!!! Riot is def Blizzards sister now. This is exactly how Overwatch died, now Valorant will suffer the same fate. The day gamers realize “Stop buying in-game content” and make the companies wallet hurt, but until then…the sheeple will keep funneling money into these companies and complaining but want chage
