not franchising compium
honestly i didn’t understand it all
but i think it says “group of new raw talent has lesser and lesser chance of shining out if they wanna start their own team”
If you play in Tier 2&3 leagues, you are just fodders for Riot’s ecosystem
When are you guys going to report the clownery that is Valorant NA doing rn with the doxing and deadnaming someone over stupid tbagging thread?
One of the most exciting things is having fresh teams come through LCQs and go far in big tournaments. I haven’t seen anything glaringly wrong with the current state of things and I’ve really enjoyed watching tournament play.
Would I be as invested in a league style competitive scene with just a few teams… not really. I like watching tournaments, having teams fight for their life to keep going or go home. Prove themselves against other top teams.
When it comes to teams on the outside of this ‘league’, I think it’s going to take a new organization to take up the mantle of curating tournaments for pro valorant play. Then it’s going to be two things, who pays the best to attract the top talent and which one or both are people going to tune in for.
Says it is not a franchise then proceeds to use “franchising” as the term to refer to whatever the heck this is.
And I’m pretty sure that the initial fee is not require to define a franchise.
WAIT WAIT WAIT Valorant Players Association in the end card MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THAT!!!
How many of Valorant’s top stars came out of T2 teams playing in non VCT tournaments. All these teams have these 16-20 year olds with years in front of them. How can anyone break through now? If there is no teams what are these players going to do? There’s no ESEA no FaceIt, no where for people wanting to go pro to showcase talent or learn from a structured team environment. Even if teams like Akrew and DK were stepping stones they are necessary to keep talent coming in.
I don’t think we’ll see teams bringing on 6 or 7th players anytime soon, so a lot of these esport dreams are about to be cut short.
Please not TSM
Franchising overall as matter seems good for the eSports scene but it’s also bad for rest other teams which aren’t selected.
the problem here is that very few teams are going tobe getting slots,
Imagine, only 8 teams competing in a region XD
Whereas there was more then 100 (200 plus registered for last event)
Globally before it was over 1200 teams which registered for previous event, now it would be far less literally 40 to 50 max
I don’t think so that this 50 teams only would define valorant eSports as hole effectively.
This is actually bad for tier 2 team for sure, until they clear about 2 tier scene soon enough it will be the same shit show.
everyone here that didnt play league of legends….. Get used to it… riot ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS bends the knee to the dollar…. liz you can do these weird mental gymnastics all u want you and riot arent fooling anyone whos been around long enough to see this happen before…. its franchising and theres no way around it
Riot will always cater to filling their pockets
valorant scene is still new so a lot of people are about to witness first hand how riot does business
teams like the guard….. while it was absolutely amazing the run they went on….. itll be the last time you see that happen…. and there isnt anything you can do about it
hopefully you guys like watching nothing but 100t tsm c9……. like literally every other fckin esport in existence other than csgo
Even if it is for better experience, teams are going to feel left out and find it unfair.
@ Score esports editor, turn down volume on talking head videos like a HAIR. Its too distracting.
16 teams are better
8 teams of 5 “will be entertaining people for years”. I’m tired from the thought itself, would be repetitive af.
this is sad bro, tbh i adore valorant competative system because is grants opportunity to others organization. the competative systems that valorants pull off shows the best of the best of the organization towards to competative matches. now it shows the more money you have can play official matches.
can we stop this franchising shit it doesn’t work lmao
Dogshit system honestly it is unfair for tier teams that are not as rich as tier 1 teams honestly this is bullshit it is going to kill the game if riot doesn’t manage it properly
If they keep banning orgs for dumb shit we’ll be lucky to have 12.
I think they should have 2 divisions the 2nd division fights to get to the 1st division and the 1st division fights to be the best basically they can have a demoting and promoting system top 2-4 or however many teams are promoted from division 2 and the same amount are demoted, just like some football leagues do it, but they can take something from something like the nba and stuff like a playoff system both divisions have 16 teams but the 1st division gets a playoff where there are 8 teams in different conference’s and they work there way up like in the nba 1st vs 8th seed 2nd vs 7 seed and so on, I don’t think the 2nd division should have a playoff because that cause a lot of confusion like if a team places 1st in the conference but don’t make the finals are they promoted or not, that wouldn’t make much sense, the 2nd division could also do a conference system or not but its prob best if they don’t so overall teams don’t just make it because of conference but actually deserve it like the 3rd seed in a conference could have a better score then the 1st seed in another but they don’t make it through since its only top 2 teams or something like that. but ya devs probably wont do this since we already know that the 1st division would be a lot more watched but if a team like sentinels fall in the 2nd division that might make it more watched. also if this does happen they should have a 32 teams playing each other top 16 make division 1 the rest make division 2, sorry this is so long lol
