Say what you want about CSGO scene but they have a sustainable system within their professional scene(well 12 years of experience definitely helps of course)
So if valorant really want to stay for longer, they should try the same
This whole vrl and partnership program is a bs, it just denies the chance of teams like the guard, they were “nobodies” before, just ranked players who played in mixes, then they became the 1st team in NA after a vct qualifier. Some players would have the chance to rise with a team in a vct qualifier, but now they have to climb the ladder, which takes a long time and full time commitment, its unsustainable without salary.
I might not agree with everything that valve does on tournaments. But boy, does it seem more stream lined/freedom in what they do with dota and CSGO. Especially compared to riot stuff
Franchising is horrible for esports. It makes esports way worse and only benefits the companies that control the game while making everything else worse.
I will call it the 100 thieves effect.
Dead game
eSports NEED lower teir scenes to work it’s silly that this keeps happening to different games
It gets clearer and clearer every day that riot has absolutely no interest in building a big esports title, they just want to capitalize on it. It’s really a shame, i love this game (sometimes more, sometimes less) but I cant wait to see riot and valorant fail with this strategy.
All I can say this is a huge mistake
Nah franchising is not good. Hasn’t really worked out well for any esport so far, RIOT aren’t some kinda gods that are gonna make it work perfect out of nowhere when no other leagues could.
Franchising is such a bad move, if theyre gonna do it, make divisions or tiers like football
Tell me you’re brainded without telling me you’re brainded.
-Average riot employees
I really like your high quality videos. If you stop focusing in 90% NA I think you will get the 2M soon.

At least have 16 teams for more competition. If a team is on the bottom two in two consecutive season will be relegated.
Falling asleep 😴 just get to the point
Dead game
tbh I just want riot to touch upon domestic leagues/VRLs, it’s not only NA that is lacking in info when it comes to VRLs, also other regions that aren’t in EMEA
What a joke first off the only teams that were picked so far are from the na region and the only big names they got are tsm and cloud9 second most of the other teams with the exception of nrg are young and new and have not accomplished anything in esports and third it is kind of like franchising because only teams who can afford their spot in the league
They should have like total of 16 teams for example, 6 will be buy out 10 will be the old way or sth
