-He has only actually used melee
-He started in iron after doing his placements with knife only

x to x rank challenge videos have been a thing for ages and it’s been done in all types of games with a ranking system. It’s not as big of a problem as you’re making it out to be, either. “Tenz said it himself that it’s unpredictable!!” it’s not unpredictable if that’s your standard bro. You live in that rank, learn how to climb out of it just like any other rank. This take has been said so many times and it falls short so many times because it’s invalidated once you realize the only reason you’re not getting better is because you suck

I do agree that smurfing is bad, but there are creators who in my opinion do it “correctly.” Creators like RoyalG play placement matches while actually trying with their self imposed challenge, leading to a fair placement and a fair climb. Creators who just throw placements or buy a low elo account is not okay though.

The only way to fix the issue is to implement the Premier phone requirement to play ranked. It would shut down smurfing almost entirely.

Riot actually supported the classic to immortal as it was more of a handicap than anything. It’s a 2 head tap kill. I started doing that in unrated games and it’s actually pretty fun.

just because valorant content creators play valorant doesnt mean they shouldn’t get banned for smurfing. I have encountered so many smurfs as a bronze player and it has been depressing trying to get up to silver.

i think keeoh’s “speedrunning” content is slightly better. because he isnt actively throwing in his placement matches and genuinely tries to get a high rank in placement. but otherwise i agree completely with this sentiment.
