You seem to not fully understand the franchising process if you think SEN and 100T are shoe ins based on their popularity. Riot isn’t looking for popularity they are looking for financial stability and longevity, both things those orgs are lacking. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both of them miss the cut
3:00 lmfao which mf decided some alpha bullshit like “girl kissers” to be a pro team name. expecially if they were serious about it and this aint satire
Can someone tell me why they are doing this though? What’s wrong with the current system?
What I would like to see, is the bottom half of each region is in contention for losing their spot in tier 1. Where is send the same amount of pain from tier 2 or competing in the chair to Lee are playing for the spots. The fluidity of having to move up and down, and the potential of the bottom three teams almost losing their spots. And let’s say a tear to playoffs or a tear to special event after the end of the season for tier 2 and tier 1 my dress MIs and keep him interested or prevent them from drying out because they still have an in but it also cool keep the higher tier teams on their toes in Copley trying to improve in certain starting to just extract money and let the rosters got all garbage
Maybe in every single tournament from the lower tiers, the grand champ of those tournaments will be given a spot in the next tier of tournament. Maybe there could be multiple spots per region so that teams from lower tiers have the chance to compete with the best of the best.
valorant just became boring after a few months, its always the same thing and doesnt even have missions that you can actually earn skins and stuff…… you can just open valorant and play then close it
So many teams are going to lose their interest in Pro scene
A lot of fans will be pissed
There are so many teams that are invested in Valorant Pro scene
But after this, they will leave
whats going on now is working and its working well. why potentially ruin it by franchising
What team is girl kissers 😭😭
It´s not the DEVs
Franchising is a double edged sword.
Franchising kills the tier 2 levels BIG TIME. Teams like the Luminosity Roster (now Shopify Rebellion) who performed well don’t have a chance to prove they deserve a spot or earn it.
However, it is also good because it makes it easier for new comers to understand the teams. Franchising establishes those rivalries, like what FPX and Fnatic have in EMEA rn. There is even potential for one already to be here with LOUD and Optic.
This worked well in league, and I don’t see why the same company that created league couldn’t create the same success with valorant

If Riot are to franchise, they gotta make the Tier 1 league in regions much much larger, they gotta cap it to like 12 or imo make it 16, there’s too much talent to have it as low as 6 honestly. And have a tier 2 and 3 leagues for promotion and demotion.
Imo, franchising are going to ruin tournaments for me. Theres not gonna be any “underdog” team, and that basically ruins it.
