I extremely doubt loser’s queue exists. Personally, I have never encountered loser’s queue before, to me it seems like when I am on a loss streak I get better or more supportive teammates to be honest, and I get the frustrated teammates when I am on a win streak. Either way, I try to make everyone in the match feel better and it pays off, I was peak gold 1 last act and after placements I made it to gold 3, then double ranked up to plat 2 all because I was supporting my team and even though i wasn’t at the top of the leaderboard, my teammates and I were having a great time playing and winning. (also all my games of unranked and gold were full plat-low diamond lobbies while I had never been above gold 1, which is funny to me)

naahh, this is pr talking, off course he will not admit it. its always like this with every competative games. after a loss streak, all of the sudden u got a win streak, this is to make you addicted to the game, this is the competative system that most game use. so dont believe the developer too much because they sell/ marketing the game, thats why most of the time they will cover their games weaknesses. Just believe in your experience. For me, the Losers que and Winners que are available in Valorant.

They don’t have Loser’s queue but when we lose many matches, they queue us with players having way low mmr than ours to give us a boost.

Exalt’s argument has merits, but I’m curious to know what he meant about the ranked system being “too forgiving.” How would one go about altering Glicko-2 to account for character anyway?

Granted, I DO agree with his point that its the matchmaker pitting you against bad/uncooperative teammates, but I wouldn’t go as far as to blame the ranked matchmaking since, again, it doesn’t account for character

Getting tiers by reports would never be fair. Youre forgetting some people are Trolls and toxic. Those stack in party and mass report someone whos solo queueing onto them. Think about it. I have been harassed by people that are in party threatening me and massive reporting me just because they can and for no reason. So what you said wouldnt be fair for most people that suffer from these type of trolls.

Loser queue it self isn’t an intentional thing, it’s just MM being bad. You can’t have a 6-8 games winstreak without having a massive losestreak after, that might last even 20 games. It’s mostly all about hidden elo.

There is 100% a losers queue. It might not be a direct decision of Riot but something in the algorithm makes it happen.

As for what coach milly said, about not noticing wins, I think that’s false. Everyone notices and loves a win streak, not everyone is just cocky and thinks they are the best. The issue with Match MVPing and also knowingly performing well (not just frags) but still losing 7 games in a row with teamates who are all in a loss streak, doesn’t come down to just marginal performance causing losses. If you are performing at the top of your team, you shouldn’t be losing more than 40% of your games. Losing 100% of your games while you are performing well and being a good teammate is undoubtedly a fault of the algorithm. (Losers queue) like I said, it might not be intentional, but something in it is F’d.

Idk if other ppl have experienced this but 2 weeks ago i got in a queue (comp), had team with no comms, and after about 3 rounds my raze starts going afk each round and when the ai thinks hes afk he comes back again, did this for the whole match.(singapore server) when i went in all chat and requested them to report they started talking in indonesian and thats when i discovered my team could talk. Idk what the 2 teams discussed but after the match i found out that all of em reported me and got comp banned fo no reason at all lol 😂

Look, the only reason why people are talking about this is because of a frailty in the human mind. When people are talking about losers queue, there has to be a few people that will every single game and think they’re unstoppable. So couple this along with the winner who wins games they shouldn’t and the loser who loses games they shouldn’t, you can conclude that the negative feeling of losing a game will always outweigh the positive feeling of winning a game which is often referred to as…

The Negativity Bias.

The Negativity Bias is the reason why losers queue exists. It was also the reason why 9-3 curse existed. It may sound cheesy or hippy, but when people play games when they are upset or tilted, chances are, they’re gonna lose. Having a positive mindset is very important when play a competitive game like Valorant. So when they queue up into “losers queue”, they are basically just gambling their rating away because of their addicting negativity. Stop doing that. Take a break, get off the game, go play something else, go walk the dog, go touch grass, do anything else to reset your mental. Stop complaining about losers queue, not complaining about losers queue is going to solve the problem.

The hidden MMR system is what I really think is the issue. That shouldn’t even exist. I also think that you should always be playing with people in your rank. Or at least 1 rank off. I have a friend who is Plat right now, but he gets queued with ascendants and diamond constantly because he is actually good. But you can’t climb anywhere like that. Even when he is in DM it’s worse, there’s often radiants and immos in his games. That shouldn’t be happening. He played on an alt account and got it ranked higher than his main. That also shouldn’t be possible. I fully believe if you are in a rank, you should be playing against people in that rank, not people that are in ranks above you that have similar mmr to yours. Idk. I’m sure there’s more to it, but that just makes sense to me.

I like the peer ratings where you give your teammates a score or commendations. Plenty of players I want to play with again because they were communicating and supportive vs toxic players who never talk unless they have a complaint about your gameplay.
