so basically the whole point of this video was that valorant needs community servers? tbh it is a lame idea. the reason there are no community servers in valorant is because the goal is to keep the game more competitive than their rivals and most importantly they want to be different. if they add community servers it defeats the whole point. even without the community servers there is lot of cringe in the game as he said e-daters, smuring and toxic ppl. and as far as the fanbase is concerned most of them wont even miss the valorant content that eggwick or speedninja (mentioned in the video) make. the majority are engaged in valorant esports and are entertained by the pro scene. so if your main point i that “valorant is so boring” let me inform you that this game isnt for you. and also let me tell you i dont even play valorant so much, i have been a cs fan for all my life but i appreciate what riot games is doing, they are doing the right thing.

I feel like one thing that could also really help this is when cs2 is released Riot might realize that they actually have to put more time and effort into Valorant because the playerbase could take a massive hit because people will want something new.

I mean it’s a video game, content creation from the player base is not the primary focus. Valorant is bare bones and it would be nice to see some new features, but why would they add that? The concurrent player counts are high and they are making MILLIONS of dollars off of weapon skins. This game doesn’t exist to make you happy, it’s to keep you addicted and spend money on the game.

I’ve made a bet with my mates that at some point, val will just be siege all over again, nerfing the fun characters according to “pros” and leave the casual community dead, screaming in their despair as the only thing you could do in val is either playing ranked “sweaty” or casual ( even more sweaty ).

Nowadays I play valorant as my side game, not my current one.

I play like one game per 2-3 days and then move on either to another games or no games at all..

I haven’t watched eggwicks full video yet but I’ll reserve that for a video in the future. But here’s my take for now; from what I can see from Riot’s perspective, they just want to focus on the competitive/pro/esports side of the game rather than the casual community. If they wanted to focus on the casual side of the game, they would have a head for it like Leo on VCT, but from what I can see right now, they don’t have plans for the casuals. It sucks and I totally agree with Val having community servers, and here’s another big BUT, we all know Riot doesn’t like making their IP open to the community in terms of development, from what I know they banned a 3rd party app that lets you autolock. Just from that, I know Riot will never give their community a Dev option. Even in League, they don’t let the community do it too unlike Valve with Dota.

TLDR: Riot/Tencent sucks, no open dev option for the community, probably never will have. Valve/Gaben pog.

All they need to do is add new game modes, and better incentives to win in Ranked. People don’t care anymore because its just not worth it. You get a dogshit buddy that means nothing in this game. They should at least give us some sort of knife that you get for reaching the high ranks at least. Or some gun skin. Something. Anything.
