Hey Kage – Idk if you plan to start a new world again anytime soon, but the mod slot change is huge. TFP have definitely made it more worth your while to move up tiers in weapons and tools. In addition to better durability, higher tier items now have higher/better mod slots available.
This is the mod slot breakdown by weapon/item level:
Stone Axe: 1-1-1-2-2-3
Iron Axe: 2-2-2-3-3-4
Steel Axe: 3-3-3-4-4-4
0:47 Have you considered a big backpack mod? I use Khaines 96 slot bp mod and love it. I also mod out the encumbrance system because f… that s…. 😂
Dew collectors making heat is so immersion b.s. . Now think how a dew collector works . It makes less noise than a fly fart .
Did you notice the change to the art of mining books? Completing the set no longer gives you the chance to one shot ore anymore…
I heard that the new update is in. It addressed weapon and tool progression.
lol… where are you throwing man. need to relearn Trigonometry. xD
My first death in my world, i was doing a tier 5 clear not infestation at the prison, i killed all the zombies on the outside. As soon as i enter the front room it triggered the zombies it put zombies outside… that’s fucking BS
The change with mod slots and the item progression in general definitely helps. I looked into a tier 1 steel mace vs a tier 5 bat and the tier 1 steel mace outperforms the bat in all categories except durability and stamina if you have at least one mod installed, but its best if you have four mods to begin with (which one probably does at that stage). So it’s a question of whether or not you are fine with the relative low durability as a trade off.
why not invest some points on parkour?
I kind of hope they will make it so we can’t use Hatches in POI’s. It just make it seem to easy.
By the way, maybe i dident pay attention, but Sugarbutts or what they are called… They no longer any good?
Dew collectors increase the heat map?! No wonder my base is getting hit by continuous screamers all of a sudden. Uuuuuuugggghh…. I only have 5 of them set up, and given you can’t harvest water with jars anymore and they haven’t introduced anything like a well, you’re much dependent on the dew collectors and looting for water. So having several of them set up is pretty much necessary. And that they can only gather up to 3 before being full, collecting water for things like glue production is really becoming a pain in the ass. If would be nice if at least you could convert buckets of water into water as an alternative.
I remember doing this poi several times in alpha 20 with my brother. It’s a great one, and you get to know where all the groups of zombies are. I was anxious for you Kage, knowing what was ahead…
When you took the key at 17:55, I wouldn’t be surprised if the in game coding simply reverses the state of any ‘door’ there, so anything locked will unlock and open, whilst anything that is open will close. That was a very interesting interaction for sure. Certainly not the intention of the developers.
coal burns longer then wood or blocks, so put that in your cooking stations
7:00 Kage, you are too superstitious to be a realist lol. If you were a realist, 13 would just be a number
Screamers should be adjustable so you don’t get to a point of constant Screamers, they should also only be able to come one at a time. Also they definitely shouldn’t be in pois
Ah, the sound of manly war screams… what a way to start your day. lol
Hey Kay’s, just let you know. Have you watched? You always win the YouTube channel. They did this pui when meaty stumbled upon it he went down the hatch. I am. You make sure I have a lot of explosives. Oh FYI, those clickers are down there multiple of them and they run. Maybe they don’t run. I don’t know
IN THE MEDICINE CABINETS ON WALL IF YOU LEAVE ONE UNWANTED ITEM IN IT YOU CAN HIT IT FOR A PERCENTAGE CHANCE TO GET ACID BUT GOTTA LEAVE ONE ITEM IN IT
I’ve seen actual dew collectors in arid parts of the world. They don’t make any sound or give off light or heat. Zombies noticing them makes no sense at all.
