I dont need to speck in rustick decoration bench and ice box becose I got those as misions rewards (decent rewards – food rewards are crappy, only took mushrooms and squash since I specked in farming to point i can make plots preventing withering crops and may do the farming misions)
The two mines on I5 are important for deep mine nodes – open mine have coper and sealed have gold
Mine on I6 has aluminum deep mine node – good after lvl 30
Mine on J7 – silica – youll need a lot silica for concrete mix (there is another node for silica along river on I7)
I found sulfur node above lake on G7 but no mine

If you ever try “watch tower ” mision know that dificulty depends on how high you need to put device taken from droppod – i had hard time finishing hard mision becose i only unlocked wals ,flors and beams from wood material due to structual integrity (not gona use stone for that)

I focus my talents on speed, stamina, sneaking, and sniping. I do put some points into carry weight, because that affects speed. I have points reducing animal damage and to see animal’s health bars. Also, you shouldn’t specc into polar bear armor, imho. You will rarely have a chance to make it.

Stone buildings take NO weather damage, they are completely weatherproof. Bears and wolves can still take them down with only a few hits though, which is really dumb imo

left bank/ right bank would be the traditional way to refer to the two sides. You face downstream to determine left vs right.

Looking awesome build. I don’t think you need to build another house across the water replace the wood with stone and have a T shaped building. But I no you like to build big

I don’t think that storm was enough of a test for the flat roof. Granted, neither the stone roof pieces nor the flat stone piece took damage, but neither did the significantly weaker wooden parts of the base. You need a proper storm!

Pro tip: UNLOCK the sticks spec. You gonna need a LOT of em, and it saves a ton a of time and energy being able to produce 10 sticks for 1 wood. Sticks are essential for TREE SAP, which doesn’t seem like it’s a needed product until you get to Tier 4 mechanisms that need electronics. Tree Sap is the key to making biofuel, and unless you plan on using multiple solar panels, the biofuel composter uses tree sap + whatever u choose = fuel.

Secondary pro tip: Unlock the ability to gather wood immediately when chopping. Saves a ton of time and allows you gather wood at an extremely quick pace, which opens the door for sticks, fuel, building materials, etc…

Kage, couldn’t you have both the triangle roof and the flat roof? Like have the triangle roof at the top and place floor pieces beneath it (could be made of wood cause cheaper and cool aesthetic)? That way you would get both the inside look and the outside look.

i like the icebox. Let’s me keep my prime meat and bacon for longer. when i start making special meals it’ll be more useful because those are a pain sometimes. You can build a quick shovel to get ice but I was able to find over 100 in about 3 minutes of work.

Stone doesn’t take damage in weather. The flat roofs can have an issue with weight in the snow biome due to snow collection, but that’s it.

The direction you are looking when you place the first post is the direction of the grid. Why are you worried that you are encumbered – you are walking literally round the back of the house.
