Ya muppet you keep whistling neutral not passive.. if a Dino is neutral it won’t attack when you do but will attack when it or you is attacked..

Haha, you meant the death chicken! The Therizenosaurus is extremely nasty, but also amazing mounts to tame – strong enough to take on a T-Rex, but much faster to ride than one. trust me, you’ll want one.

Also, a big hint for you – you can force feed your carnivore pets meat to heal them faster – not instantly, but significantly faster than base level.

You can change which side of a dinosaur you jump off on by holding down the arrow key while dismounting.

That therizinosaurus (the tickle chicken that was harassing your carno) is one of the best tames you can grab for any level. It harvests wood, fiber, thatch & berries with all its various attacks. It doesn’t get any weight reductions but boy does that thing have the ability to just murder about any other dinos at higher levels. You might want to look into building drop taming traps. It makes taming SO much easier.

My number 1 tip… Move. The spot you’ve chosen stinks. But good news! You haven’t put down any real “roots” yet…so just Move. Move closer to some resources, that shiny rock was not metal btw.

Flyer rules for ark:
1- Always have a backup flyer at your spawn or base….always.
2- Always have a chute or two on your hotbar.
3- Leave flyers on passive unless an unusual situation calls for otherwise.
4- Always have a spyglass.
5- Never fly into water, if you get your flyer wet it will dump you.

A death chicken thing is probably what will wander into your unprotected dino yard and kill you and all of your friends.
That is a Therizino and they are really good tames to have, they have fast torpor drop so a lot of narcoberries are a cheap way to keep them KO’d.

You need an essential tool, the spyglass.
The hill top at lat 75 lon 47 has crystal but you need a metal pick to harvest it, you need metal tools and a pike or sword as well.
You don’t need an anky to harvest metal early game so go for the rounded river rocks.
Tame another ptera and saddle it before you do anything risky with your only flyer.

Josh, if you click on a recipe, and click the button that looks like a square with arrows pointing inward at the very top of your screen, it will pull all the necessary materials to craft that recipe. If you don’t have enough nearby it will tell you what you are missing. You can change the number in the text box next to this button to pull resources for that amount of crafts, helpful for crafting ammo and such. Also if you want to just pull resources you can use the other button that is a cloud with an arrow pointing down to select resources to move them to the inventory you’ve clicked the button on. If you use the buttons on the left side (your inventory) it will pull to your inventory, if you use the buttons on the right (inventory you’re accessing) it will pull to that inventory.

I Know you have an aversion towards reading up on things, and gathering knowledge about games. Even the shit In-Game is difficult for you to do at a competent level. So even knowing the futility of it, I still advice you to Read(!) up on Dino behaviour and How to control them with, at the very least basic proficiency. Invest a few hours of your life on Education, and Save yourself a LifeTime of bleeding Muppetry.

Every time you log into ark your shoulder pet (otter) gets dismounted from you. Always remember to pick them up first thing

The whistles are a nightmare… until you get used to using them and changing the key bindings is what helped me the most. Especially the all be passive and then the all follow me ones. Later on the attack what I’m looking at is a blast

I wish it would show what you are whistling. I find it easiest to keep my guys on neutral. That way they only attack when attacked or you are attacked. It looked like you had them on attack my target, which they will attack as soon as you do. Or keep them on passive when you are doing anything with trying to tame until you have knocked it out. As for carry, the Argentavis is a great bird to have, but you can also get a Quetzel to carry much bigger dinos. Now to get said quetzel single player if very difficult but doable. This has been fun watching and laughing at your trials and a lot of me yelling “you need to do this” but because it is way after the fact, it doesn’t help. Hope you figure some of this out. Great series, have fun. Keep it up.
