skinny pete type base
Base Name Suggestion: The Bird House
Base is called The Angry Squidward.
I Dub Thee, The Prebuiltarium. Every building sounds fanicer and more Old Timey when you add “arium” to the end of it.
The Turnabout 👍
This is very similar to the bases that I build I always do a tight rope to help control the amount of zombies in my face
I recently made an 11 high, 11 long base similar to yours. It works great, but I used standard blocks as a stairmaster to slow them down in jumping on each one for the sake of crowd management. Have you experimented with a two-deep one-wide dry moat around the base (except for in front of the stairs)? The dry moat forces them to path to the front so they don’t mess with the pillar your battle position is on.
Pillbox
Name for normal base: TFP Dev base.
The fans want to punch them in the face, but the dev team put as many obstacles as possible in the way.
Base name suggestion: Basey McBaseFace
The Birds House
He got me on “My brain works on cube” 😂
I did some experimenting with different bases that I knew worked in alpha 20 but they didn’t work with alpha 21. I used to get them to jump up into an overhang of plate blocks 2 blocks high which was situated over a one block gap. They would try to make that jump but couldn’t. Now if I try that they immediately just start attacking my blocks everywhere. But I had exploited the tar out of them trying to jump over and up things. But now they need a connected pathway.
The new base is like Snakes & Ladders, but for zombies. Climb to the top, do’oh. Back to the top, do’oh.
Unrelated – the fireplace in Trader Joel’s has a secret entrance to the apartment downstairs, some minor extra loot in there.
34:46 – “That is odd.”
Zombies always have a chance to go into Rage/DestroyArea mode anytime they stumble or take falling damage. What they won’t do is attack blocks *until* they’re within ~11 blocks of you, *or* ~15 seconds has transpired. I believe it was YouTuber CautiousPancake that did testing for that. That’s why they’re stopping at the top of your stairs at the timestamp I shared, because at that point they’re within 11 blocks of you, and they’re in DestroyArea/Rage mode (and 15 seconds hasn’t passed yet).
Kinda looks like the CN tower from the map view. So I’d probably call it that.
I put points into infiltrator early because I figured there’d be more pitfalls to fall in to. I didn’t regret it. More POI’s, more collapsing floors. But then they have some new ones that collapse inside of vent ducts that you have to go through to complete the quest.
Well done.
I did a couple of tier 2’s that were huge houses. Did a tier 5 infested quest I completed faster that those.
the base is Leg Sprainer
26:00 they should rename themselves to the unfun pimps
