The reason they will not really go past the one plank.. is because you took out the supporting logs in the causeway.. if you put one back they would run further. it looks like fred smith saw that also
Finally, another gamer besides me who wants to trap and troll the enemies instead of building a “safe space” on an island. All of my bases are designed to lure the enemies, funnel them into an small area, and then kill them so that I have an unlimited supply of human limbs to eat.
When putting down the floor planks, left clicking will change the orientation. Also, you can remove the center logs because they are not needed and then the game will automatically make the orientation go the other way.
@JaWoodle Awesome base JaWoodle 😀 One thing, are you wearing the rebreather still? You have to go into the inventory and click unequip to take it off. Im not sure but it might cause problems with the flyingthingy. Worth a shot 🙂 You can see if you are wearing it in the bottom right of your window 🙂

What about using vertical logs at the top of the ramp? It’s be right at that point where they’re turning, which the log would block…
u should put spear head fence and point towards the water around the entrance of that bridge trap,, so when they turn back, they got pushed back into waters.. so you can kill all of them without doing anything.
Now try that with all type of AI, Demons, mutants, baby, fingers, heavy …etc and so on. We want to make sure the trap work on all of them.
So you use command mode. Why don’t you just turn on no dmg. Better yet, change the season back to summer for proper testing of water. People always working harder, instead of smarter!
In your cabin you can take the middle logs off so you don’t have it so crowded there 😅 nice video
Can place the blue printed tower in swim depth water. Then build off that for water home. Could also build a spiked death floor or ramp in the water for a false safe landing zone. Path finding in the game stops at all water edges. Why even the NPC don’t wander into water. Even spiked area along side the bridge ramp. Last would require loads of bone racks.
Definitely a different kettle of babies of cannibals and zombies. Cannibals seem harder to predict, but using water to take them out, is a good shout.
I reckon the floating base cannot last forever…. But given the way endnight have been doing the updates, (i.e. listening to the community) I believe a different method will be on offer, because let’s face it, if you cannot have a lake house, you are only surviving, and not living 😉

Very nice! You can turn the leftover 1/4 pieces into firewood, by cutting them in 1/2 lengthwise. They are handy for keeping the fire going.
I wonder if they won’t path over the planks aligned the other way on the last square?
