お疲れ様。

Great video Yuka, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 🙂👍🏼 I’ve done a similar trip with my DS mountain bike, I used a 38 ltr back pack to carry all my stuff in, instead of separate bags over the bike. It was pretty helpful when ascending and descending the more technical stuff. It also made it easier when I was doing river crossings. The downside it was a bit warm on my back. I’ve since bought a gravel bike with all the attachment points, which I think is a bit more suited to this style of riding.
A downhill bike for a cross country😂😂 well at least you were repeat over and over you made a mistake. I don’t even like riding one of those things across town but depends on the weight and if you can lock the suspension, do you lose all your momentum if it doesn’t lock
I hope you can go on more bikepacking adventures after having learned from this experience. Keep on inspiring.
You have the naked baby ramen it super yummy.
What an amazing adventure! On your own accross the Tasman outback. Wow! Hooray for the shower. It occurred to me that when you camped under the overhang “cave”, you were at a spot that people may have used for 30K years. Your unpacking to go uphill made sense. It reminded me of my Grandfather’s story of the Chilkoot Pass and the Golden Steps up to the Klondike in 1898. Each prospector had to have 2,000 lbs. of supplies. To get up the steps and over the pass, all of it had to be broken up into 40 lb. Packs, up and down until everything was at the top. Fortunately there was a snow slide to get back down each trip. I greatly respect your effort. Thanks for taking us along.
“Its really windy”
Nah girl your fine, those trees are just bowing to you, proper gentlemen they are.

Just caught you video out of the blue — WOW!! You are so inspiring and brave!!! Well done to you after all you been through. Keep it up .. you’ll do great!!
Get back to downhill !!!
Hell yeah way to go you’re out there doing it!!
Yuka must learn English, darling you can do it!!!
How fitting for this to show up right as I’m trying to decide between full suspension or hardtail bike for doing singletrack and maybe some bikepacking, hah. That looked brutal. But congrats on finishing the whole thing all the same!
Really inspiring, I think I’ll go for something a bit lighter and easier to carry around, but seeing you lug that heavy full suspension bike up some of those mountains also gives me more confidence that even the “wrong” bike for the task can work if you’re determined enough. 😀
may i know the brand / model of helmet you use ?>
you are so brave! sugoiiiii
“This is normally what my husband….”
