Yay
i am sad to hear the Queen passed away. i know she had no real power but she was a icon, she went through WW2, and met 13 of our presidents, who knows how many other leaders. she will be missed. as for the base it looks interesting. glad you got bears cause i was wondering how they would handle it. good vid
Chillin and buildin, what’s not to like?
It’s going to be interesting to see if the Zombies behave and path correctly it’s a cool base. Good Luck!
have shotguns facing downwards into pit. or dart traps downwards
reinforce roof to steel and around important inferstructure
put more doors where you will be defending and maybe some internal smgs if something glitches in
Oh and don’t forget hatches so you can throw molotovs down the pit
It’s a great design I think it will work really well. You could use that same wedge shape block on the floor as a ramp to force them upwards before the filter, if you wanted to go with your original plan with blade traps above.
oooh looking good. You could have some dart traps in the pit as well to shoot them after they fall LOL
In Darkness Falls when they start jumping across that gap it’s time to run then not later 🤣🤣🤣
When they paused before jumping the gap, they were attacking the tops of the re-enforced steel pillars. Add a partial layer of plates?
I was going to suggest hanging the surprise shotgun traps upside down, but the way you have them they shouldn’t set off demolition zombies.
The weakness is the pillars in the pit. You’ll want some hatches to be able to drop protective presents like fire and explosions.
Just curious, but why didn’t you use ramps for the path up out of the pit?
Needs lights, you can just set lanterns on the ground around the base…
Looking forward to seeing this base in action.
you can see some weak cobblestone blocks during your end speech and how will you drop bombs into the pit?
Because the game thinks the two ramp blocks are touching, so do the zeds, therefore no game mechanical reason to jump. For them to jump there needs to be an actual physical empty space.
Something to remember: The zeds don’t see the physical world like you do. They see it like the game does, as game mechanics. There behavior may not make sense to us, but it does to the game mechanics, therefore the zeds.
If you need a test canidate… get the auger out
Very big change from just a concrete floor. Liking the look of the base so far. Very good job. Excited for the first horde to come through it. I think the blade traps will be a fun laugh. That slicing noise is more entertaining than helpful I think.
My theory on zombies attacking the floor. They attacked the blocks above your eastern support pillar. They got mad enough they couldn’t reach you so instead of jumping to you they decided to take out your support blocks. That way when those concrete blocks get destroyed the small platform you are standing on may not support you and you’ll fall down where they can get to you. Zombies are smart but they may not have see your western support pillar you are standing on so they will try and take out the blocks on the eastern support pillar to make everything fall down. Just my guess.
I like to use trigger plates for some of my traps. Then the traps only activate when the zombies are where I want them to be.
I like the design, great work Spanj! Horde night will be quite exciting!
Looks like an interesting horde night ahead of us. Keep it up!
Running away is a reasonable and strategic action when facing any situation that threatens your survivability. With that said, I’m impressed with your “stand my ground” approach & not afraid to embrace the death screen. Lol.
At least your deaths are exciting. Mine was Day 1 to a Dire Wolf eating my ass. :/
Great video.. I would have gladly watched alot of what you skipped over though.. Could have been a chillin and Killin and buildin livestream lol
spike traps in the pit where they fall?
You need threat assessment perk. Think it’s in the Hunter Class. Let’s you see what zeds are near you within a certain radius. Higher the perk points the more types of zeds/hostile entity’s you can see and bigger the radius.
Floor glitch is a known vanilla bug.
