Hack #2 Because I want my Burmese girlfriend to get shocked when the waiter shouts at her in Tai Er. Also because her kou wei is those spicy and suan ones so just nice. Arigatou boss.

Hack 2 sounds great, who doesn’t love food, but queuing at the snake like queue at Tai Er, honestly makes me 太饿 (tai er).

But the food is great, and the fortune telling sticks once told me I was not able to win a fight, when I was coincidentally arguing with my s/o.

Hi Aiken! Same as you, I also live 10 mins away from Jewel, and it is always the go-to mall that comes to my mind whenever I have a last min need for anything (i.e. meals, essentials, gifts, apparels, place to hang).

My favorite hack is #4 Dining with a View. The aunty in me is so glad that you shared about Shang’s Social refillable tea for $2.50. I also want to share that “dining with a view” at an affordable price can even be enjoyed by broke sec sch kids, and our hack is that we can bring the whole cell to Jewel after youth service, get Birds of Paradise ice creams, and hang around the vortex sitting area for a long time.

If we can win the vouchers, I’ll share it with my bf’s and sister’s youth cell so that the younger ones can experience the luxury of terrace dining one day (but we know, no view will ever be the best without your face in it).

P.S. we’ll not forget to buy you a bbt too!

Thanks for the video and hacks! I love everything about it, but let me just add… if a person is flying budget and is using just hand carried luggage, they can check in and start shopping…even for liquids and I think it’s allowed…cos it’s already duty free, mah? Right? So for local snacks, go to jewel and buy so it’s fresh when visiting friends overseas😊

MOST BEST-EST is really hack #1 and #6.

Always super excited to travel but honestly, on the day of flying especially if the flight is at night, I just stare at the clock and wait for time to past because my bags are most of time packed and ready to go before the day of (too excited … 2 weeks beforehand already start packing …) and I have nothing left to do on the day itself except trying to control all my excitement LOL! With hack #1, I can now spend my time and put my excitement somewhere by going to Jewel early to 走走, buy any last minute travelling necessities, have some light bites all while getting to save some dollars with the early check-in coupon and getting to chuck my luggage somewhere in the meantime … b e s t!

And although #6 is not so much a hack, but die also must mention that thanks to Jewel’s existence, sending off a family/friend is now made SO MUCH MORE eventful and enjoyable. Have a nice lunch/dinner first, take a stroll around the shops, sit by the rain vortex to watch the light show, act and feel atas a bit then slowly walk to the terminals to send them off. Becomes a proper day/night out and I LOVE IT!

Best mall ever … and don’t get me started on their beautiful toilets.

I am excited to try Hack #2 so I can explore good food with my bf without looking at the price for once. Our favourite restaurant at Jewel is actually Tokyo Shokudo. Their pork belly don is chef kiss! We wanna eat it again without looking at the price cuz we broke ass student and ns men.
