Finally, we seem to be reaching critical mass in terms of the fickle and unfulfilling “realism” for which the very obnoxious and very volatile minority of digital Rambos out there have been yearning ever since this hot mess of a game HARDCORED it’s way into early access. This sort of nonsensical thinking and implementation is nothing new in the context of SCUM’s overall development as the prevailing philisophy over at Gamepires appears to be something tantamount to “Wait, the players are actually enjoying the game and are having a modicum of success in their gameplay endeavors? Oh no, it’s not HARDCORE enough! We have to make it more HARDCORE because that’s what HARDCORE developers do!”

Can’t wait to see which HARDCORE mechanics they bring in next, perhaps random sneezing and burping, the frequency and severity of which will based on the arbitrary selection or random generation of certain bodily characteristics, medical conditions and lifestyle choices for our characters. That’ll be so much FUN! Hell, why not nose and ass crack picking (not necessarily in that order), that’ll definitely solidify your frivolous little production as the most HARDCORE survival game of all time, Gamepires (fart noises). Oh, and random farting too, because, you know HARDCORE.

Great video Ray. My opinion, I like the dial locks. We have to be honest there is a small portion of legit lock pickers in this game, the rest are cheating in some way or another. So bringing in this dial lock system is great. The bed roll ideas I don’t quite understand to well, but if we can log off while being on bed and gaining the stamina and stats logged off as if I was lying down in game in a bush for 2 hours then it’s a great system as well. My life has changed tremendously since I started playing SCUM, and I don’t have time to play 12-16 hours a day. These updates seem to focus on gamers like myself and I’m ok with it.

Dude, you are the main voice. Only for the sake of the game, you NEED to be more critical! I am very glad for this video. We really need to start pounding them instead of inventing excuses for them… so thumbs up.. after a long time.. on your vid! Tough love! Tough love for you and tough love for the devs.

🛑NGL it’s about time some of you raiders finally have some grief for once. I love this, maybe I’m the bad guy here but I’m absolutely in love 🥰 If you are a solo player or small squad you better hit the bunkers my friends and find these locks and stock pile your loot and leverage the heck out of this while you can and enjoy the fruits of some loot protection for once. Burying your loot is not enough either as there are exploits for finding that also. Tip for the devs: if you want to balance this a bit add in a bolt cutter to the game and let people have a chance to break the locks this way but also damage the bolt cutters or give them a chance of breaking the bolt cutter each time you try and use it on the locks. Just an idea💡 But for real guys, before this update, big squads absolutely abused small squads with raiding. There was little to no way of countering a big squad as a small squad or solo player. Gold locks and zappers were still not enough to protect you from raiders effectively making base building a waste of time as you were guaranteed to be raided by some no life lock picker or person running scripts to hack the lock picking experience. Now there is some chance of a duo or solo player being able to actually have fun in this game for once instead of being constantly squad griefed by big squads and hackers with no life (for now). Some people actually have a life and can’t be on 247 so at least this gives the more casual people a chance to not feel like everything they worked for is a waste if they decide to actually do some irl work or live in the real world for a day. Not hating on the hardcore fans or content creators out there who are putting in work on their channels, but you know I’m right. Cheers devs 🍻 Now where are our updated male models? Enough with the females!

The stamina system with the bedroll is trash 🚮 and the hand abrasions system needs a rework so devs do need to definitely address this, I must agree

No this is great coz it’s impossible to protect your base coz every raider just walks into your base gold locks mean nothing and the limit is you can only find them

I think this is great…I was always offline raided after weeks of building and collecting some one comes on when I’m at work and drags everything out of my boxes and lets it all despawn. This game was always missing a way to protect your gear.

as a solo player my friend i always get raided from squads
so now they need to use explosive to get in …. Finally
Fuck the raiders …. if they want to raid then use your C4 ….

I feel the same, need to be balanced, the recovery should be 10x faster or recover while off-line.
Also the fatigue gain must be slower.
The system may be ok, but needs balancing. Fresh fruits help reducing the fatigue gain

I can no longer play the game, I have no stamina.. so therefore can not fight, loot, carry, bow draw or F all. what a mess!

I believe this will all fall into place with the new updates that are coming because this is Beta. Everyone keep in mind rocket launchers and heavy guns are going to be inproduced lock’s won’t matter.

I get why you’re upset about the locks, but its not that deep, just blow the door up if you wanna get in that bad. Locks have been just about useless in the past so im very happy to see a much more op lock come to the game
