I quit this game because lockpicking was to op I d spend 40 hours building a base just to have some one lockpick all my doors 10 plus locks n take my flag lose whole base this combo lock is exactly what I was hoping for n now every ones complaining about them I hope they stay if u want too raid my base blow up the walls not spend 2 secs picking my locks
I don’t feel as strongly as you do about the locks, specially as a solo. As long as they’re a rare find. As for the fatigue system, I don’t think it’s necessarily bad but it ties in to eating to regain stamina so probably should’ve waited for the cooking update. It is also an optional feature that can be turned off in server settings
The fatigue system ruined my character i got stuck on 21% stam and nothing could fix it, The admins had to disable this feature as it was happening to lots of people
theres not getting good now its all about get lucky asf lol
They should just limit the dial locks to crafted doors and let pre-fabs be lockpicked. Would be a good balance so they have to actually blow into some of it for raiding if you build around a pre-fab. The accumulated fatigue is a great system (coming from playing Project Zomboid a lot.) However like you said without a proper sleep system it makes no sense to be implemented so early on. That would be like them releasing the cooking update but you couldn’t eat what you cooked (So to speak). You can’t have one without the other. The fog in the city. Meh who cares. It’s one of the most populated areas in some servers and having the added fog elements would make it more challenging for pvp and looting, etc. All in all though a lot of changes they made can be temporary. There are a lot of updates that came into the game and were taken out due to feedback so there is hope and if people want to leave because they don’t want to experience an “Early Access” game grow over time and provide proper feedback then so be it. I do love your video and your input on this because I do agree people need to spend more time speaking up about the changes and offering constructive feedback to help the game grow rather than just “leaving the game until they fix it.” I look forward to more videos from you on this and it’s a nice breath of fresh air hearing the truth side rather than people just rationalizing the changes. Keep it up!
But havent they said you can regain stamina by drinking energy drinks, coffee etc aswell? Or am I wrong?
Locks are cool, not on non destructive builds though.
I believe if one uses bed and logs out then logged back in, it will restore energy faster. As for condition going down always, ya it sucks.
Brother am really happy at last to see that you got the point that the developer team of SCUM lost it a lot. There are so many things that needs fixing, bugs, performance of servers, lag, dysing and many more and the developers spending time to develop new poi and hamburger. They spend hours of development making planes, and planes no more, they spend hours of making new cars and cars broken, same with bikes motorbikes and many more.4 years now and the only thing you can do in game is raid ,loot and pvp.
For me personally (with 7000+hours SCUM gameplay)no reason to play the game any more until realise.
Na, what the FUCK were they thinking
Probably 99.9% of people who read this will not agree with me but I really don’t care. But why would I care about players who raid bases that belong to other players? They don’t care about other players either. I love those new locks. My stuff can be more protected. Now problem for me is not the new locks – but those assholes who love to raid bases. They will be first to put those locks on their bases and complain that others are doing the same.
Say goodbye to your CON attribute…
About time a streamer says “its time to say something other than saying everything is great”. The ass kissing the community does is beyond cultish and if you criticize anything about the game on the scum FB community page, you get banned.
I feel like scum is going downhill. Every patch and update as of late has been a step backwards. For that reason I’ve decided to shelf it until they release the final version.
Developers are morons
For me i’m ok with that update butttt.. they need to reduce the stamina consumption I think 10 seconds of running you will lose 1 – 2 max stamina already and that’s insane that’s kind a hard to loot in a bigger city if u are ran out of energy.
And they have now doubled the recovery rate and halved the rate of fatigue accumulation, so 1/4 of the original rates.
I do like the idea of those locks. I don’t want people raid me while I am offline. Maybe is something you can adjust on your server rules not to use those combination locks
Great stuff RayKit! The really neat thing I’ve always liked is how the devs are trying to help by listening to the players and then trying to make adjustments. I’ve always enjoyed the open “forum” if you will, that they work off of feedback directly from the players, if they’ll just let them know. One of the biggest disappointments is NOT the game of SCUM, it’s the disappointment I have with the players that complain to everyone else that’s a player, and even leave the game, but not once will they leave a comment to the developers who have the power to make fixes. I Have said it before, and I’ll say it again, I LOVE Early Access Games with a passion! As an Early Access Game, they rely on input by players. If you have 1,000 players that absolutely HATE the new fatigue system, and constantly complain about it, and even threaten to leave but haven’t said anything to the devs, and then have 50 players that LOVE the new fatigue system who say, make it even more brutal, and they actually TELL the devs that, who do you think will have more influence? That’s a simplified version, but I’m sure I’ve made some sort of sense; at least I hope I have. Lastly, each and every, single time you log into SCUM, you see a splash page talking about how it is an Early Access Game, and please help them by understanding how things change, disappear, and grow, and to feed the toads and frogs lots of good, fattening food, and to help the devs by making suggestions about how to better care and feed those same frogs and toads. RIBBIT! 🐸
The fatigue system looks more like a roleplay element so that the game feels more realistic and challenging to the players. It needs more rework to balance between realism and game.
Do you not gain stamina back by eating ? If you log out in your sleeping bag? If true does that help even out stamina recovery at all ?
